How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bathroom extractor was really noisy and the bathroom got very steamed up. Breakfast toaster was very temperamental and either did not toast or burnt it.
Staff were really helpful. Room was nice. Breakfast was plentiful.

Healthy options for breakfast such as fresh fruits and low fat natural yogurt. There was also no wholemeal bread on offer.
The cooked breakfast was good but the selection of "continental" items was very limited, maybe because we were the first people in.

Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Pub/restaurant next to it is helpful for food and drinks. Also used for breakfast in the morning. Lady serving breakfast was really patient as I have young children which was great.

Breakfast was a little small for someone with my appetite. Was told by the fantastic staff to just ask for a bigger portion . So next time we will do that 👍
The rooms were spacious ,clean ,great facilities and an added bonus of plugs by the bed and usb ports . The bed was very comfortable and slept well. Also an excellent shower .

Cold cooked breakfast both mornings. Looked good but sausages defo undercooked looked anemic. Lol. Rest was good just not hot enough. Cutlery needed wiped and huge chip in mug. Can't say didn't like..was just unexpected...rooms are outside round a courtyard and doors have large step up into. Very difficult if you are elderly or use a stick or can't lift foot high. Tho they have accessible rooms too but mind ask for one...make it clear. Take a brolly!! Lol.
Staff are really friendly and helpful. Short dark hair lady at breakfast really welcoming. Long black hair lady on reception on Monday 4th march morning was very helpful and chatty. Download greene king app for discount. Bar busy so good atmosphere lot families. Rooms have all you need , soaps, towels, kettle, iron and cleaned daily to a good standard. Would return no prob.

Carpets could do with a little clean. White disco didn’t stay white very long.
Very good value for money. Clean and tidy , if I stayed again I’d probably request a top floor as it was a little noisy from the person above us but I’m a light sleeper. The bed was very comfy. Didn’t get the deal with breakfast as was 9.99 or you could wait till a little later and get it for 4.99 in the pub, so we went for that option and it was delicious.

There was no heating in our room and we didn't get an explanation for this.
It was near the tram station and easy to check in, it was also next to a pub so easy for food.

Minor thing, the poached eggs in the Sunday breakfast were quite undercooked, but it did not spoil our stay, the breakfast is huge and very tasty, continental and full English. Plenty of choice for all.
Cosy, very clean and warm accommodation, everything we needed in the room, very good shower, plenty of hot water, excellent food available in the pub, great value for money, friendly courteous staff, giving efficient service. Safe place to park.

No complaints.
Easy access to the town Centre. Tram station close, as well as a bus stop right outside the property. Had the most amazing meal at the pub. Amazing value for money for both the food and the stay in the hotel. The hotel room itself was very pleasant and spacious. Heater worked absolutely fine and kept the room warm overnight. All in all a very good stay Staff at breakfast were excellent as well as the check in staff at the hotel
