Room was clean and comfortable, facilities to make tea and coffee, nice en-suite shower and toilet. Nice and quiet area even though quite central for sight-seeing and pubs selling real ales and wide choice of restaurants.

Nothing for us but access to room may be tricky if you struggle with steep stairs.

The hotel was situated very close to the Cathedral where we were attending an event. Parking very close by and convenient. Very quiet and lovely decorated room with all we needed for our stay.

Wouldn’t allow me to pay with American Express even though I reserved with one. Bad smell from the bathroom, needs remediating immediately or the room taken off market until fixed. Stains on hand towels. Rubbish left in drawers by previous lodgers. Stiff and squeaky lock to the room. I opted to support a small business and paid about 20% extra compared to the chains in the area, it absolutely is not worth the extra premium.

No parking, so need to use public car parks. They are located very close by so not really a problem and just £9.50 for 24 hours. However, on our arrival (Sat 2:30pm and middle of August) it was very busy and hard to find a space. Our schedule didn't allow us to stay for the Sunday roast, which sounded amazing.

Location - great for city centre/castle/cathedral. Comfort - Bed was comfortable. Plenty of storage space for short stay. Bathroom - Modern and clean. Owner - Very pleasant to talk to and helpful. Check-in - Received a delicious chocolate brownie cake each to have with our coffee.

Breakfast choices could be a bit more extensive with a veggie/vegan full English option perhaps? For non-meat eaters like us there were really just a number of different egg based choices, with little or no garnish.

The room was very comfortable and well appointed, with individual touches to the decor and fittings. The restaurant is very good and seems to have a name for fine dining with local people. Our host was very charming and helpful and the location was perfect for exploring historic Lincoln.

Parking was not available at the property but there is council parking nearby at approximately £10 for 24 hours.

Its location was perfect for the social event we were attending and also to see Lincoln. Breakfast was cooked to order and was really very good.

the evening meal was exceptional. My wife is gluten/wheat/dairy/fat/alcohol and more intolerant. the staff and the chef made our stay a night to remember. The attention to provide a meal she could eat was superb
