Lovely luxurious converted cart shed on a working farm. Stylish and cosy.

Gorgeous and peaceful location, despite being a working farm. Only the occasional moo sound to remind us we were in the countryside. Owners lived in farmhouse next door but quietly went about their business - we felt very private.

Perhaps have the sofa bed in the living room rather than the bedroom. There were 5 of us but only seating for 4. The sofa bed would sort this

Beautiful rural location and lovely and warm with its underfloor heating. Very well equipped kitchen and the log burner added to the cosiness

We were there for a wedding so didn't make the most of the time in the cottage, so no complaints of the time we spent there

Lovely property which exceeded our expectations, everything you needed was supplied including foil, kitchen roll, coffee, cooking oil, dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper, washing up liquid and tea towels etc, etc. Also beautiful home made cake and complimentary wine, very spacious and lovely lady host

There is little to dislike. It didn’t have a view, located overlooking a courtyard but that was it really. We definitely missed sitting in a late afternoon and evening with a view of fields but the location meant that these were all immediately to hand. We also missed not having a sofa, with 4 separate chairs in the lounge but these were all comfy! Minor personal preferences really. The fact that we’d definitely go back says it all.

The Cartshed was perfect for us, a family of 3. One huge bedroom, another excellent sized bedroom and two separate bathrooms made our three days away, excellent. Lovely hosts, as the holiday home is on their farm. Our 9 year old son fell in love with the horses and spent ages talking to them and feeding them carrots and grass. We also had a lovely welcome pack with cake, wine, milk, coffee. We very much look forward to a return at some point. Great for easy access into Richmond (5 mins), a wonderful posh farmshop (15 mins) and Barnard Castle (45 mins’ish).

    Nothing.

A lovely retreat on a very quiet farm surrounded by open fields. The accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable. There were nice touches such as home made cakes on arrival, coffee and a bottle of wine. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
