The property was beautifully decorated and the rooms were as the pictures. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was shown to my room which was very nice as this rarely happens, offered fresh milk for the room in a chilled flask. Felt like everyone was there to make the experience pleasant and enjoyable.

Nothing major and it didn't really affect our stay (which we really enjoyed) but it would be helpful if there was something separating the shower and the bathroom + to have somewhere to put the shampoos in the shower (maybe a shelf).

Nice comfortable room, comfortable bed, really nice spaces downstairs as well (pub and the breakfast/dining space). Staff were really nice and helpful. We had a great stay overall.

The rooms was nicely decorated bathroom was clean coffee was great. Also I had to leave a day early which I knew I had to pay the full amount the gentleman didn't have to remind me ( if you know what I mean )

Breakfast sadly let this down. 45 minute wait and meal was cold. Asked for top up of hot water again came back cold. For only 3 of us in the establishment to serve waiters very chatty to each other but sadly not attentive to guests. At 42 pounds for three as well was sad because we had loved stay until this point. But would recommend as a great pub.

Just minor things with the room. The bathroom could do with a towel hook and or shelf in or around the shower. Also there was a low humming noice from outside all night.

Was 4 miles away from Harrogate centre nothing else around which is lovely as a get away

Staff was amazing & very friendly. I booked the union jack bedroom as a surprise for my partner however upon checking in i was given a different room, i was upset as it was a present however the staff & manageress offered me 2 alternative bedrooms and i was very happy we has the Skipton room absolutely stunning they also but ive bucket in as we has a bottle of Prosecco with us & was given the cooked breakfast. Food was lovely all the hotel and bar staff was great id definitely stay again.

The Food

Excellent stay only disappointment was the food. Dinner in the pub was very poor, really need a better chef in the kitchen. Breakfast was also very average, over cooked bacon and dried up mushrooms and stale toast.

Not that we didn’t like it but breakfast took a little time to order and come - only 1 person on the bar and 4 of us waiting to order drinks took more than 20 mins from sitting down

Staff were amazing we were at a wedding and to get the key before the room was cleaned but this was no issue and we were able to leave our bags in another room. Nothing was too much and we were made to feel very welcome

Ate lunch and evening meal. Seafood starters were excellent. Struggled with the Al Dente vegetables as they were simply warm and raw. Dust in the wardrobe.

Excellent helpful polite staff across the board. Lovely touches like the fresh milk and cafetiere/ fresh coffee were much appreciated. Nice atmosphere in bar and restaurant 👌.
