Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWow, what a beautiful hotel, best hotel myself and husband have stayed in. It was so clean and fresh. As soon as you walked through the entrance door, the beautiful hit you straight away. The lobby was nice with plenty of staff to greet you. A magnificent stairway leading up to our room. The room was perfect, you didn't want for anyone, the fridge was stocked with water and cans of pop. There was popcorn, crisps, biscuits, and a jar of 😋 our view was nice, you could see the tall buildings in the skyline. The hotel was situated in the middle of the centre, lots to see plenty of places to eat and lots of bars. I would recommend anyone e to stay here. We will return hopefully again this year. 😊

United StatesThe Clermont at Charing Cross is centrally located with easy public transit access. We found it to be a great value, saving us on transportation costs because we could walk to just about everything we wanted to see/visit (including the West End for theatre) and we had minimal connections required when taking the train, tube, etc. All of the staff was very professional and friendly. The room was surprisingly spacious for being based in London, and felt nice and upscale for our anniversary trip.

EstoniaUsually I’m not picky, but given the positive hype in previous comments (that I also read to select this hotel) the room had a foul smell which dissapared after holding the windows open for a day (the windows open max 10cm and for one of my window the security lock was missing). The windows were facing a quieter inner court, but were on the same level with the roof of the lower floor, hence, view was bad. Bathroom floor was also very cold for bare feet and noises from the hallway were very easy to hear.
Location was super! Breakfast was plentiful for an English breakfast (I would have liked to have fresh salads to go with eggs and bacon, but these are not part of the standard :) 2 grocery stores are basically few meters away and basically everything was fine.

CanadaThis hotel has a great location. If you’re a tourist, you can easily walk to Big Ben and so much more. It’s really close to subway station too and so convenient to travel to different parts of the city.
