Cold shower every day we stayed there for hot briefly for 2 minutes then went back to cold

The shower went cold after a few minutes even though it was turned to the hottest, and the bed is slightly creaky so for light sleepers it might wake you up when you rolled over! But these are minor things :)

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and showed us to the room as we weren’t sure where it was! We were attending the races at Oulton Park so arrived later in the evening, but this wasn’t an issue for them! The room itself is adjacent to the pub and was super lovely! Very clean property with everything you’d need for a stay. No noise through the night, even though the pub stayed open until 12!

We had a long drive home to Cornwall and we wanted to get away early breakfast didn’t start until 10am a little late for us. Also bad night sleep because of the noise from the boiler in room 5 . Shower was just a trickle .

Love the location staff are lovely too .

Couldn't fault this as a great place to stay for a few nights. Good for a business traveller, and excellent if you plan to travel by train to visit Liverpool or Chester.

Convenient location by car or train (opposite Hartford station). Comfortable room, good bathroom and shower. Staff really helpful at a time when the associated pub was busy. Good restaurant and a great breakfast.

There isn't a mat to wipe your feet on when you enter the room,which meant wet footprints in the room until you could sit and take your shoes off. Perhaps there needs to be a blind over the glass in the door as the sun shines through into the room and reflects off the wardrobe mirror,making the room light up. There were no biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities. ( All small details I know,but things that can be addressed)

The staff were really friendly,the rooms were practical and comfortable. The heating can be controlled in the room and doesn't go off at set times. Although we didn't eat here as we were going to a function, the good looked and smelt amazing. Busy place with a great atmosphere.

Nothing really other than the continental breakfast was not as what was shown on the website. I can’t fault the friendly staff at all. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. The property was clean and functional.

If I was to be picky there was a few interior snag list things that could be addressed, where the old tv bracket was in the wall could be re finished and the walls in the entrance could do with a fresh up. However this didn’t really affect my stay as I was only there for one night. I do however think that the emergency light in the entrance way needs to be addressed as at night time the room was lit up green. A simple thing like a blackout curtain over the door way or another door would help the room to be dark at night.

I didn’t manage to get breakfast as I started work at 10:30 am and the bar only opened at 10am and I had a 15 min drive so I couldn’t try. The room was fairly pleasant, looked clean and the manager was professional, engaged in conversation and actually took me to the room which was a nice touch.

The hotel was fabulous, the manager also did the cooking because he's a qualified chef, the meals and presentation was exceptional, the waitresses, was fantastic and couldn't do enough for you, will definitely return

Shower wasn't very powerful but the place hasn't been back open for long and the couple running it were very hard workers and I'm sure it will be sorted at some point . Great price and a comfortable place to stay

Dim lighting in room and only one coat hanger in the wardrobe.

Beautiful pub with lovely rooms attached. Spacious room and bathroom. Free parking. Paid extra for breakfast that was really tasty and plentiful! Staff wonderful!

Breakfast is not served till 10 am Tbis is to late for those that have an early start Lamp is broken in room 1 The cider pump at the bar was broken and not going to be fixed until the following day
