Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPrior to our visit we received excellent communication via email, with directions and things to do in the area/places to eat. We received a lovely welcome by the owners who went through the facilities. The hut was so cute and the perfect size for the two of us, with storage for our bags under the bed. A lovely kitchen area with a kettle, toaster, 2 cooker rings, a mini fridge freezer, so we could enjoy a nice breakfast before we headed out for the day. The shower and toilet were separate, and only 30 seconds away from the hut. Also lovely, modern, and very clean. The location was excellent, we walked into cromar and then to Overstrand and back on one of our days. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

This is a brilliant place to stay. Every detail has been thought of indoors and outdoors is so peaceful with stunning views across open countryside. Stacey is an excellent host, The Covey is charming, the location is convenient for visiting so many places, with a lovely walk along the Weavers’ Way down to the sea at Cromer.

United KingdomFantastic location, really quiet and rural. Lovely 40 minute walk to the beach through ancient woodland. Very close to national trust property. The three huts are well spaced out in a well kept area and dog friendly. Really great long weekend stay.

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didnt like.
The location was beautiful, very peaceful. The accommodation was outstanding, everything was clean and looked new. We had our own shower room/toilet in a separate block, it was immaculate. The host was so friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful stay.

United KingdomI honestly can't think of anything that I would want to be improved. Beyond my expectations in all respects.
Perfectly presented bijou accommodation in a shepherd's hut (think of a vintage caravan). Really nicely finished with all modern conveniences (instant hot water, microwave, stove, fridge freezer, efficient heating when needed, comfy double bed). Excellent shower and toilet facilities are just a few strides across a small field. Absolutely silent location with privacy and views into fields and woods. Just a mile from Cromer and well placed for visiting Felbrigg Hall and all around North Norfolk. Lovely friendly host who was around to take care of any requests and who made sure there was a pint of milk and some delicious cake in the fridge when we arrived. We were at the mercy of the weather (this is England after all) but the hut was lovely and cozy. When the weather was good, we could throw open the double doors and breathe in the fresh air coming in from the sea. So charming.

United KingdomLoved everything about our stay here!
We had the most fantastic couple of days at the Covey. The setting is gorgeous, the hut was lovely and cosy and Stacey (the host) was so welcoming. She had even baked us some cheese scones and had left us tea, coffee and milk which was a real godsend after a long drive. Lovely walk into Cromer or short hop in the car and plenty to see and do in the area. We look forward to returning and have been recommending to family and friends.

United KingdomWhat’s not to like everything is available to have a great time.
Beautiful peaceful location in lovely grounds, the huts are so homely and the owners had thought of everything. The homemade cake and fresh eggs were very very welcome. The personal bathroom (which you could lock) was spacious with plenty of cupboard space and a fantastic hot shower. We enjoyed having a fire on our first night and there was plenty of wood to burn. We didn’t use the bbq as weather not that warm but again this would be lovely to do in the main summer months. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the owners were happy to give you advice. We walked into Cromer, visited Sheringham and Sea Palling but our favourite day was walking from Wells-next-the-sea to Holkham beach (amazing) and on into the grounds of Holkham Hall. Would definitely visit again.
