Huge cobweb in dining room, very dusty toilet door. Premises aged, could do with a refresh. Breakfast for the two fellas was poor. No baked beans, no sausages and hubby's haggis fell apart, and was very dry. Only choice of 2 cereals, and i didn't spot any jams/spreads to finish off the breakfast.

Rural location, very nice. My scrambled eggs were superb! GF bread a bonus. Big pot of tea. Nice touches of shower/bath liquids and bottled water in room. Soft, fluffy towels.

I thought I had booked a room with en suite but my toilet and shower/bathroom were over the corridor. Luckily I had taken my dressing gown with me so this was not a problem at all. The accommodation was very comfortable. I did manage to see one of the other rooms before I left and it was a very spacious double with sitting room and en suite bathroom. Given the amount of things I had with me for myself and my dog, this room would have been better for me.

The full Scottish and pots of coffee were superb! My Working Cocker Spaniel was very eager to help me polish off the full Scottish, toast and jam! All of the staff are dog people and were very welcoming of Sophia who felt like she was the star act for the four nights we were there. Again, Sophia helped me munch my way through the evening menu, as well. Dogs are equally as welcome in the bar area as they are in the breakfast room. The village of Auchencrow is lovely, it's very quiet and full of doggy neighbours. There is also a footpath a short walk up the hill from The Craw Inn which is maintained by the local Council. They even mowed it while I was there! It's a great, safe, off-road route for dog walking but mind the sheep at the end! Being away from home with a dog is always a worry as to where they can safely run off the lead, but this was fabulous!

The room was a little tired and a little cold. The bathroom was across the corridor - I had it to myself, but would have preferred en suite. The shower wasn't great. There wasn't a proper desk in the room. Nothing major, but these days, you expect better

Susan was great. I arrived late at night and there were v clear instructions. Breakfast was great.

Unfortunately the room didn’t benefit from en-suite bathroom facilities, requiring a trip across the landing to use wc & shower. Not ideal, but for one night only not a major issue given that all other aspects of the stay far outweighed this minor inconvenience.

Really Friendly helpful and attentive staff. Pleasant welcoming atmosphere. Good homemade food options on the menu. Room was functional, clean & cosy with a tv and a kettle with tea, coffee and biscuit options. Wonderful breakfast to set you up for the rest of the day.

No complaints really. As other reviews have said it was a bit noisy under our room, but this was just folk enjoying their drinks and food in the lovely bar. And the noise dissappears at a reasonable time to be replaced by complete silence all through the night. Also no idea why other people have made an issue about having to walk across the landing to a separate bathroom. This only applies to one of the rooms, and it's not much of a problem.. it's still a private bathroom and it's very quiet and secluded between the bathroom and bedroom.

Beautiful old pub, felt very cosy and traditional. Lovely friendly staff. Nice beers and delicious home cooked food. We wanted a really nice meal to mark the end of our holiday, and the Craw Inn was just the place. Friendly locals. Village is really peaceful.

    Nothing.

The Craw is a small country pub set in a quiet village just off the A1 road. The staff can't do enough for you and are friendly and helpful. The menu is short but the food very tasty and an excellent breakfast in the morning. We will certainly return.
