the shower was an over the centre of the bath one, with a circular curtain rail, so not the most roomy. the water was very variable, disappearing mid shower to a dribble or varying significantly in temperature.

lovely traditional country pub. good food, with a wide menu choice, very friendly staff, lovely spacious and comfortable room

The roo

Location was perfect for us and although on a road the road we very quiet. Being in a pub the food and drink options were great and very good, tasty and great value.

arrived back at the property late and the room was freezing. called down and they turned the heating back on for us, but was not fun trying to get ready for bed in the cold

Had a great stay, shared the high roofed loft room with wife kids and grandmother, all in the same room felt like being in our own wizard tent together, the staff facilities and food were all top notch and we have lovely memories of the stay

We had a creaky en-suite door which we fixed with a smidge of body lotion on the hinges!

All the food - dinner and breakfast were excellent and well cooked. We loved the way the place was run and the staff were very professional, friendly and efficient.

The Crown is a beautiful old pub, steeped in character. The food was freshly sourced (many vegetables grown on site including tomatoes outside at the front . Although I stayed in one of the heatwaves, the room was remarkably cool and a air con unit was also provided. The milk for the room was fresh and in a fridge along with the water. Much appreciated on the hot days. Although I only had breakfast, which was delicious, the menus for lunches and dinner looked very appetising too. Great place to meet friends too, with a lot of place outside to sit as well as inside.

Its a shame to say but our room needed a good dust and clean. I moved the tv out on its wall bracket to adjust the view. It was so dusty behind the tv i could have written my name in it lol. the window at the far end is filthy inside and out. It just all wants a deep clean up. This did not spoil our enjoyment of the room. We had a high vaulted ceiling and it had a nice cosy feel to it.

A room full of character. Good cooked breakfast. And well located for the walks we wanted to do.

Couldn't fault any of it, room was a bit warm on an evening but you can't blame that on the owners, we did have a fan in the room which helped.

The room was lovely and big, we wanted plenty of space as there was 3 adults. beds were lovely and comfortable, we also had 2 settees in there, which was great for chilling out on, on an evening. Bathroom was great and supplied bath/shower gel and shampoo and conditioner. We had plenty of tea and coffee and hot chocolate and different types of tea , fresh milk in the fridge and also big carafe of water, which we were glad of as it was warm while we were there, packs of biscuits were replenished everyday and clean cups and glasses provided each day, as we stayed for 4 nights. Breakfasts were fantastic, best breakfast we have ever had and the choices were amazing, plenty of it as well.

Bathroom was good, just an issue with shower would not stay up and leak from tap under sink. Room 2.
