Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs it is quite ‘off the grid’ you can’t charge phones so had to do this in the local pubs/restaurants. Lots of ladybirds looking for warmth in the huts (probably just the time of year we visited) so probably best you’re okay with bugs!
Really lovely stay. Peaceful location and walking distance to Castle Combe village. Accommodation is comfortable and our host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

United KingdomThe staff in the white Hart in castle come were quite unfriendly but in the village its the only place you could take a dog. We did venture to the Salutation Inn which was a mile or so away and it was like a different place. Dog friendly and very nice staff.
We loved everything about this place. The location was stunning especially castle combe which was a 10 minute stroll. Allison and Guy were the perfect hosts we couldn't have asked for more. The fire in the caravan was on when we got there, the jacuzzi was heating up and the fire pit was loaded and ready to go. The caravan itself was big enough and cosy enough to sit down and take in the surroundings and the bed was very comfy. The stars in the evening were amazing and it was pitch black and clear skies. The toilet and shower was super clean and the little touches in and around were great. There's Molly the horse living next to you who loves a sugar lump aswell as a little gang of 5 or 6 sheep. The 2nd day we travelled 15 miles into Bath and whilst there we received a text from Allison asking us if we wanted the hot tub heating up and the fire pit re loading, they really couldn't do enough for you and we will definitely be going back in the summer. We also visited the Salutation Inn which was a 5 minute drive away which was lovely, food looked great, staff were great and very customer focused and it was dog friendly throughout.

United Kingdomit can be very dark during winter and the toilet is a bit further away from the trailer so it could use more lighting. but they provided flashlight so it is not a big issue

United KingdomNothing, we had a lovely time! It's all really well done, lovely host, lovely place!
We liked every bit of it, from the bed to jacuzzi to the facilities. It's super cosy and comfy, a great little trip away and it feels like an adventure at the same time! We really enjoyed the small chimney and it's close to town center! We went for a beef and ale pie and a stew with a bottle of red wine in a pub in the town center which is 10-12 mins away by walking! I recommend it strongly for romantic trips!

United KingdomRace car track nearby that was quite loud so took away a bit from the serenity of the location. Probably need to tell guests to bring some footwear to walk to/from the toilet cabin as feet become quite muddy.
Outdoor spa was great. Very beautifully decorated sleeping and bathrooms areas. Close walk ~15min to castle Combe. All the items you’d need to comfortably stay here for a few nights.

United KingdomNothing whatsoever!
Exceeded all expectations ! We stayed during a recent storm and the personal welcome, attention to our needs and extra diligence shown arriving at a pre warmed cabin conveyed wonderful guest hospitality. The attention to detail and execution of decor and facilities mirrored a nostalgic little home from home. In Fabulous settings with feel safe privacy we could not find fault. Will certainly be returning x 5 star ⭐️
