The staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Great sized room and bathroom. Could have done with a second chair and larger space for hospitality tray, kettle, etc.

Thanks to Ruth, Simone and all the staff for a fantastic stay . Beautiful apartment with lovely decor. Spotless, everything you need. Extremely comfortable bed with lovely pillows/linen and fluffy white towels. Restaurant and bar area really nice and cosy. Food at breakfast and dinner excellent. Our wee dog Leo loved his meals & treats too . Lots of lovely walks nearby We would highly recommend Thx again Anne-Marie,Davy & Leo x

A lovely country pub in beautiful surroundings. We had a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived. The staff were very accommodating and made us feel at home straight away. The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious and even my husband being a chef, said it’s one of the best Sunday lunches he’s ever had! Highly recommended!! The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was a full English and again very good indeed. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be booking again very soon!

We loved our stay here . They could not do enough for us . The rooms were really comfortable. They even prepared a Gluten free breakfast . The staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast lovely . Would not hesitate in recommending as a place to stay .

Such great value for money and so peaceful. Lovely atmosphere in the pub, nice food and gorgeous breakfast. Listening to the birds in the morning was an added bonus!

The food was absolutely gorgeous. Light lunch, evening meal and breakfast. 10/10! Staff extremely friendly, accomadating and chatty. The rooms were perfect for an overnight stay. Spacious, clean and cosy. Couldnt have asked for anything more.

Shame the bar closes early but I get that because of the location. Wish the single room layout could be configured differently to include a chair.

There wasn't anything if I'm honest that we didn't like.

Absolutely fantastic stay with my partner. Nice room, clean, and had everything that we wanted. Food was nice, and the lady who served breakfast was always so lovely (we stayed for three nights). Ate food each evening here, and also breakfast, generally, a very lovely time! Priced well, and nice location to explore the north on a quick getaway. Easy to find, and easy to park at. Pub wasn't overly loud which is always nice (we stay at loads of places).

Tricky to negotiate the door at the foot of the staircase leading to the rooms, when carrying luggage.

Great place! We were doing an organised run at the nearby reservoir and this place was just up the road. Really lovely pub, we stayed two nights. Fabulous food! 😋 and the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable too. So peaceful on a night. Also..... We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday, their Sunday lunch was delicious!!

The staff and accommodation were very welcoming! Very dog friendly, they fell in love with our big girl and upgraded us free of charge to give her more space which really was appreciated! The location is also fantastic lots of places to explore within the area. Would definitely recommend!
