It is a home from home. I love staying there. Clean, comfortable. quirky and friendly and convenient for the railway station, buses and shops and with sea views.

All of us commented that we had a reacted to the fabric softener/ dryer sheets - strong scent on the bedding.

Great location, very clean, we were all impressed. Spacious room (booked the Family Room) which had a designated shower room and addition WC. Nice to have simple breakfast selection available (saves a couple of ££). There was a small Morrison just down the road. We liked the décor.

efficient check in info. - reception shut for the evening, by the time I arrived friendly reception staff the following morning nice breakfast area and kitchen room was clean, tidy, great bathroom ensuite

Good, clean facilities. Provided most of my own breakfast, but that was due to my own dietary requirements, and if the management had known beforehand, I'm led to believe, they could have made provision. Generally, pleasantly surprised and impressed with the value for money. Many thanks.

Delightful stay! The staff couldn't have been more helpful, my room and bathroom were both super clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, all the vintage decor and extras are wonderful. Overall excellent vibes, couldn't recommend it more highly.

Initially the shower wasn't draining, but unblocked the drain and was fine so quick fix. Something to watch for in the routine cleaning

Very large, welcoming and comfortable communal spaces. Well stocked and cool quirky, retro vibe. The staff were lovely, very helpful and accommodating. I came by bike and the lady found me some WD40 and offered to let me use their hose. The room and en suite were spacious

We loved everything everyone in the hostel

The location, warm and welcoming staff Abbey and Joe are so helpful and friendly! The room is clean, everything in the dinning room and kitchen is in order! People alway leave food when they leave, so nothing is wasted. The bicycle shed is so convenient and safe for our bikes.

There was no lift which makes it very hard for disabled travellers

No coat hangers, didn't ask for any - didn't know (I arrived late as reception staff were about to leave for the day).

The self service breakfast and use of kitchen facilities at anytime. Staff really friendly and helpful. The decor - relaxed and novel. The atmosphere - relaxing and calm. Very close to the rail station. My train was delayed, resulting in a late arrival - reception staff Abbi rang me to explain procedure as she was leaving and at 8pm the door would be locked. I just made it in time.

There was nothing I didn’t like ,just wish my stay could have been longer .

The location is perfect and this is not like your average hostel,it has a real personable feel,lovely lounge area,kitchen with all you need ,nice bathroom,peaceful & homely ,the staff make it really special ,highly recommend anyone in Dunbar stays here ,you won’t regret it.

The room and the books in the room had a lingering smoke smell but nothing was dirty, just the smell.

The staff was so flexible with our check-in and check-out, extremely friendly and they gave us suggestions on what to do in the city as well. It was overall great value.
