Very nice pub with ideal situation in Penzance centre. Spacious, modern and well equipped rooms upstairs of the pub with view of the sea and St. Michaels Mount. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Excellent breakfast. Higly recommended!

The breakfast I thought. Because was just me 7:30 in the morning to have a breakfast so wasn’t busy at all. And I wait 20 minutes and when came the egg that I asked to be hard fried egg was the opposite and they hush brown and the mushroom was very greasy actually was dripping in oil, so in other words, I didn’t enjoy my breakfast, but I ate and I didn’t want to complain because the landlord was a lovely, amazing very helpful person.

Bed had a footboard - tall people can't lie flat! Strong smell of VOCs from solvent-based paint being used in redecorations.

Happy and involved staff. Good food. Real coffee. View of bay looking east towards sunrise from bedroom. Excellent cleanliness and maintenance. Management policy of keeping staff through winter.

There was nothing to dislike It was run by wonderful people who were incredibly helpful. Very good company and really really wonderful. They could not have been more helpful.

Would have loved to have stayed longer!

Great location. Welcome was wonderful, room large, warm, clean and comfortable with a great view across the harbour and Mount Bay to St Michaels Mount. A pair of binoculars was even provided to look out to sea. Very thoughtful. We ate in the pub, and service was great; a good value meal in a busy but not rammed restaurant, so it was relaxed and enjoyable. A big comfy bed and a nice warm shower. Fell asleep almost immediately. Breakfast next day, and another set of staff, equally as welcoming from the tenant to the cleaner, all lovely. Breakfast was good. Will certainly stay again and recommend. Faultless.

The rain!

We have eaten at this pub before - excellent - but this is the first time we have stayed. Our room was very comfortable, very nicely done, a new bathroom, tea tray, all very good. Our breakfasts were excellent, and one evening meal was also rated excellent by everyone. The big plus for this pub is the friendly, efficient, lovely staff - all of them.

The tv didn’t work which was unfortunate The lovely man behind the bar was busy at 8.00 at night to have a look which I completely understand Thankfully I had a book 😊
