Shower was awful mould on windows smells off green every day got a knock on the door every day I was there didn't have a clue if was staying or leaving

Room was not ready so had to wait till sorted another room even when we did let them know we would be arriving around 8.30 pm and paid in full up front just short of 100 pound for two adults for two nights room only . but due to delayed public transport arrived around 9 pm room.alternative room was not cleaned .no milk or coffee to have a cuppa .bedding dirty .floor un hoovered and dirty. Bathroom dirty broken.stained. toilet hard to flush shower dirty and lime scale hole in ceiling draws dirty inside curtin dirty ..But saying this the manager did sort us out the room fairly quick to two stay in and invited us to have our dinner on him the next day which was lovely of him .and which he was not wrong it was the best Sunday dinner we've had in a very long time .we would go back just to have the Sunday dinner 10 out of 10 .and as for the room he was updating the rooms to which they had new carpets installed while we were out for the day and the bathroom are going to be renewed also and rooms updated so will be nice to see how much it has been improved when we visit again in the future

Great location. To have our stay in hart6for my hubbies birthday on st patrick weekend of celebrations. Not too far from the train station .places to get food .shopping and pubs all short walking distance from the hotel ..the Sunday carvery was absolutely amazing five meats .Turkey. pork .gammon beef.lamb .sausages.yorkshire puddings.stuffing.and all the veg .sweetcorn.turnip.sweet potatoes. Roasted potatoes. Parsnip. Cabbage.mash potatoes. Broccoli. Cauliflower cheese. Mushy peas.carrots and gravy 👌 😋 and could have extra and gravy boat 10 out of 10

Ther was no hot water !! It's a cheap budget hotel but still need hot water

The chair needs a new one. The black stuff of the chair will stick on our clothes and scattered on the floor. The shower cubicle needs a good cleaning 🧹 . Thank you Douglas hotel .

Toilet wouldn’t flush properly, there was a whole in the ceiling of the bathroom, a mark on the bathroom floor that looked like someone had done a number 2, floor wasn’t cleaned, bedding had stains on and bedroom window was broken

Everything could have been better, but it's a property to which no attention has been paid. You get the bare-bones of a service, if you could call it a service at all. It's not in a great part of town, but if getting a cheap room is your objective, this will do that.

The hotel was a no-frills place. There were no visible staff and no attempt to brighten the decor; no investment in the property and none to make you feel welcome. It was basically a flop house and it was cheap. If saving money is your main reason, then this will do it; a room, a bed and a bathroom is what's on offer here, nothing more and nothing less.

Strangely we didn’t actually meet or see any staff (apart from the cleaner who let us in) so never obtained the WiFi code, or were unable to ask for an extra cup for our room ( we only had one in a twin room ) Only half a toilet roll in the bathroom which could have caused us an issue (it didn’t though )

The noise from other guests consisting of loud telephone conversations doors slamming and loud conversations in the hall llate at night and very early in the morning with little or no consideration for others. It's true that other guests can't be gagged however they can be politely requested to keep any noise to a minimum and be nice. Also there wash no teaspoon with the hot drink facilities and a tear in the bedsheet.

Everything was clean and tidy and all facilities were available and functional.

Solo female traveller for business, no staff on site, fire exits blocked (I have photos), en suite light not working. Very poor.

No member of staff on site upon arrival, to ask about checking-in or parking arrangements. Facilities dated / missing (no bathroom mirror, chair very worn etc.). We were woken at 8:50 by staff hammering and drilling, which we had not been warned about when checking-in. We then had a knock on our door at 9:20, 'just confirming that we were checking-out today'. I am not sure why this was necessary.

Personally I believed it was a little “run down”. Room lights only had one working bulb out of the 3 on the ceiling, spots of black mould in the shower, and marks on the wall/bedside unit where something has been dropped and not wiped off.
