Nothing negative at all, great place to stay 🙂

Have stayed here many times, twice now have up graded to a better room for same price. Riverside views, excellent rooms & friendly staff. Breakfast always good too & good parking.

Location was excellent for the function we were attending. Breakfast was a little chaotic but lovely nevertheless. Rooms clean with great fluffy towels, views of the river very pretty.

We were in the front room and with a night club across the road didn't get to sleep until about 4-30am, so ask for a back room

The dining room has a rather 'basic' impersonal feel to it despite its lovely views....noisy with a very springy floor, and only an adequate DIY buffet at breakfast. On both days, a large party of guests were finishing off after taking breakfast at 7am presumably...by the time I got there at 8am the buffet was running down, and staff were elsewhere for some time. The hotel was a bit of a maze, with inadequate signage...window frame in my room in the older part was very dilapidated. The room was way far too hot on arrival, and had to have the small window open all night, despite turning the thermostat on the radiator right down....a lot of wasted heat...not good!

Lovely location by the river. Decent sized single room with good ensuite. Clean and comfortable. Easy ample parking right at the hotel. Breakfast service friendly and helpful.

Bar closes early (there are plenty of other bars very close by, so not a real problem). Breakfast very disappointing. For £130: per night for B&B, a self service breakfast of limited choice cereals and supermarket white bread really didn't impress us. During the week, they apparently serve cooked breakfasts, but not at weekends.

Beautiful river view room with juliet balcony. Very comfortable and quiet room. Hotel has a lift which is always a bonus.

Sadly the shower in my room, 101 was absolutely pathetic. I would not recommend anyone wash their hair while they stay there (if they have this room) because the water just trickled out. I booked the room with breakfast included however, following booking I received a message to say no breakfast served on a Monday morning. This was disappointing and there was no reflection in the cost of the stay.

Lovely accommodation and excellent location for what I needed. I had a river view and this was so pretty. Very peaceful there.

attitude of the receptionist on check in couldnt wait to get away at 2.50pm said there was no breakfast on monday even though advertised and wouldnt give a refund because we said we would go then thats why we picked them over others, she said breakfast is complimentary anyway i said no we paid for it. We asked to see someone in charge she said im it.

Didn't like that there was no restaurant open in the evening ,not even bar snacks, so we went to a well known chain next door that was packed and probably cheaper.I understand it is difficult to get staff these days but next door managed it.

Loved the room the Cwtch it was really nice and comfortable ,warm with a view of the river Severn, the bed was massive and really comfortable. breakfast was quite good but no Black pudding. Which I love.

Room was at the very top of the hotel.

Very good location in the centre of Newtown with plenty of parking space. Clean and comfortable room and a decent breakfast.

Breakfast was poor. Told it was continental which was fine. But 2loaves of bread cereal and yoghurt was not sufficient. No croissants,cold meats or boiled eggs. Worst of all no teaspoons! Ate yoghurt with a dessert spoon. No staff present to speak to.

There was a light by the phone in the room that kept going on and off. I put a towel over it and it no longer disturbed me.

The building is a maze, lots of stairs if you don't use the lift. My evening meal was acceptable, but could have been hotter and tastier.

The hotel staff are great, really helpful. Parking was ideal. My room was lovely and warm, which was really nice as it was freezing weather outside.

The emergency light above the door made the room very bright at night and not great if you were trying to get to sleep. Could have done with a desk.
