Coffee wasn't great and server wasn't very friendly.

Beautiful quaint hotel with delicious food and local beers. Room was very comfy. Nice location in the heart of the countryside.

Perfect location, quiet and close to places of interest, The Feathers provided verything we needed.

The breakfast was adequate lots to choose from, not particularly well presented but cooked fresh when you ordered but the lady who served us was unfriendly, no greeting of 'Good Morning' , a little bit surly and certainly not given to smiling.

We ate in the Feathers both evenings of our stay and although we just had a light bite the first evening because we were not that hungry, the second evening we had lamb shanks and they were absolutely delicious. It was necessary to book a table both evenings, the restaurant was full and these were weekday evenings. The Feathers has lovely large gardens, a dog friendly pub and set in a beautiful village and the location for us was perfect, a few minutes from Sandringham and the coast and many places of interest. John the Manager was extremely helpful with suggestions and directions and a very good host as was the man behind the bar.

New room had a hair dryer but no mirror within reach of a plug. Suggested to the landlord that one in the room under the TV would suffice

Had dinner and breakfast there and bothe were of a good standard. The Feathers is currently modernising rooms and facilities which are to a good modern standard

    Not at all bad, but..........

    • Two-Bedroom Apartment (2 Adults + 2 Children)
    • Stayed 3 nights

We were a bit dissapointed with our accomodation ( in an old methodist hall at the further end of the car park), it was very dark (the lights, furniture and painted surfaces were all quite dark) with not a lot of light coming through the windows. It unfortunatly smelled of cleaning product, which never really went away. This was quite suprising really as it wasn't very clean, the floor and food surfaces were okay, but you felt it really needed a deep clean and brighting up to make it more homely. Perhaps the rooms in the hotel itself were better?

Staff very good and attentive, great selection of ales and spirits. Nothing wrong with breakfast either, in fact it was very good, cooked to order and you had choice. Pub was busy in the evenings (which is good) but we always got seated somewhere and the food was fair and typical of what you might expect of a pub chain. Would we stay again, yes.
