Breakfast was good and you could not better the location. We have stopped at the black swan previously, and won’t be again now we have discovered the Feathers. Far superior!!!

Our room was very small (expected due to great deal we had for our stay) but it was difficult for 2 people to move around / store luggage - hard to suggest how to improve (not much furniture that could be removed, but it was cramped.

Staff were excellent - very welcoming on arrival, friendly and helpful throughout. Lovely hotel in a great location. Excellent breakfast options and service.

Room - a mix of the renovated ( the bathroom ) but the decor must be next for renovation - plenty of paint chips, pictures and ornaments had seen better days : and electrically, needs to catch up with sockets which include computer power points - suggest guests take adaptors and power leads !

Location on the townsquare - room spacious, bed good, tea/coffee good, tv and DAB radio worked well - drinking in the historic bar , which has Sky Sports - breakfast top class - staff very friendly and helpful - parking available at rear .

Really nice hotel in the heart of Helmsley, room was fantastic with nice small touches to make it special, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really nice and staff very friendly and polite.

The only big issue we found was the shower in our room. No pressure coming out of it and took a while until it got warm.

Sime rooms can be a little noisy when people returning to rooms. Creaking hallways but part of charm.

Having to leave.

I booked it for my parents as a Christmas present. The staff made them feel really special. The food was amazing. They were allowed to check in early. The pack of cards in a wooden box delighted my Dad. All the above and beyond gestures made it really special.

From the outset the staff were so pleasant and welcoming, the rooms had so much attention to detail, and we loved the professional way the dog lovers and non-dog lovers were cared for.

One staff wasn’t good . I lost my driving glasses ( my fault) … really unhelpful, stroppy . Wouldn’t let me look for them as I had a 250 mile drive ahead of me . She told me she had cleaned up the at area and no glasses were found . I asked ( begged ) I needed them . Searched my room and car. No glasses so no travel !!!!! As I was trying to leave a lovely cleaning lady said “ are you room 11 as I’ve found a jacket you’ve left . I said “ it’s a shame it wasn’t a pair of glasses . She said I found some this morning they are in reception I will get them for you “ She saved my life …. Bar staff great Restaurant staff great Cleaners great One lady really didn’t care 🥴
