How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very old fashioned only 1 plug socket in the room . In need of a refurbishment. Lamps in room didn't work there wasn't even a bulb in 1.

Rooms not cleaned properly, bathroom taps very loose and difficult to turn on and off, only 1 plug socket in the entire room so phone charging for 2 people was very difficult
Plenty of parking, great location close to town and all major road networks, it's a Hungry Horse so good priced food too

We had stayed here before and probably would again but it is in need of some TLC.
It’s easy to get to from the Motorway and under 10 minutes in a taxi to the centre of town.

Doors noisy, other guests banging them a lot which isn’t the hotels fault.
The lad on reception was excellent. Very friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking. Clean room and comfortable bed. Close to the theatre and football stadium.

The bath had black mould on pkug hole and around the bath. It's like it hadn't been cleaned properly in ages I could wipe some of myself, I also booed a doh ke bed. The 2 singles pushed together were hard work it's.a shame really lovely otherwise

Nothing it was a great stay.
The shower leaked, and a buld was out. Their was hair in the bath and sink. Ended up paying a lot for 2 bowls of cereal. The receptionist was lovely very helpfull and cheery. Bus stop right outside. My daughter was very excited. We will be booking again for july.

The heater in the room wasn't working and the room was very cold. The noise from the pipes every time we or the people in the next room flushed the toilet was really loud although it didn't last long.
The staff are always very friendly and the room was clean apart from a dog biscuit that had been left in the corner of the room.

The wind was broke on the latch so couldn’t seal the window and be next to the car park. It was noisy and let a wind through, but that was just room 11.

The beds were very uncomfortable
Fantastic location for the football and it represented great value for money. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also very convenient for dinner and breakfast.

Only one toilet in ladies in use. Mens toilet out of order for a while as well. Room only had one plug socket which was for the kettle. No others for charging devices. The bar needs to be more organised on footy days. People were queuing all round the bar area... three deep. I was alongside a few others for 15 mins. The guy next to me politely asked can we get served now only to be told by a very rude barman that he won't serve us as we weren't queueing behind one of the tills. This should have been made clear on entry to the pub. Baring in mind others were served in front of us. Because this was questioned security was called. I wish I'd got the barman's name as he wasn't very approachable even when the pub was empty during the day. Bar management should take a close look at their staff. Lazy, young rude guy.
Location for us was brilliant as we were going to football. Rooms dated and bathroom a bit shabby but clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great lots of choice. Cereal, toast, pastries etc, plus cooked breakfast as well morning staff very helpful and polite.

I had pre booked a table for an evening meal after the football for 8.30pm but when I went to order the food was told the kitchen had closed early, maybe I should have been informed that this was to late during the booking process
Room was clean, receptionist was very polite as were the rest of the staff. Very convenient for the football, nice lively atmosphere in the bar.

There was a hole in the wall behind the sofa and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the toilet seat was broken
