We had a problem in Room 14 with a hugely noisy neighbour, in Room 12, who left their TV on very loud late at night and into the early hours. At 1.30am I gave up and inserted ear plugs which I don't like doing as they cause ear wax blockages etc. I suggest the walls are soundproofed. Some more adventurous real ale would be good. Something from local independent breweries?

The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful too. Our TV was broken (why couldn't Room 12's TV break - see below!) but the lovely receptionist gave us a free breakfast to make up for that. Ample parking. Good wifi.

Not much, I suppose the Continental Breakfast was fairly basic, and the plates weren’t warm, although I did have the cooked veggie breakfast, which was cooked very nice, and so no complaints.

A thatched cottage right by the river, and my room (no 10) overlooked the river and the bridge. The river is so picturesque, and sitting in the garden in the sun was wonderful after such a long drive from Yorkshire. The room was nice and tidy, not expensive in its fittings etc, and that suited me. My room was in the roof space (watch your head if you are tall) and was fairly warm, probably due to the thatch keeping the heat in. Also the cooked breakfast was very nice. Enjoyed all of my 2 night stay, and was very good value.

Great setting just the lodges need all the outside doors to the lodges need painting and the area need a tidy up and the space outside the patio doors could do to a paint and a tidy up but all in all good breakfast and nice food

Room was ok clean and light a little dated ,the view to one side was fine but over looked ,staff rooms,that not a problem for use just think the staff should be allowed there privercy ,may be buy them ,the one way glass foil 🤔🤔🤔🫣🫣🙂

Refurbishment had been done but paint was very strong smelling, they did move us. We didn’t realise you had to ask for the room to be cleaned.

Staff were good but you had to keep asking for cups, glasses etc. Full English was good, other options not so good

We have been coming for years but our last 2 stays have shown the accommodation to be looking tired and in need of decoration, especially the bathroom.

We stay here often as it breaks our drive home and we love the river, the staff and its good value for money.

Very noisy room overlooking the carpark. We could also hear the next room's TV and constant loud talking which was really annoying. The bathroom door was very stiff to open. One of the windows had a net curtain but the other one didn't meaning for privacy we had to keep the main curtains closed or everyone in the carpark could look in our window.

Bathroom needs to have grab rails to get into bath and hold in shower. Bath surface very slippery and dangerous - should have a better grip.

Property was ok needs updating on the windows they were old wood frames which collected a lot of condensation. A bit pricy food was ok ish.
