Great position to center of Whitby 400 yard stroll.peter and Amanda were very helpful and informative the breakfast was a very good and lots to choose from. if you had any problems Peter would help you sort it.

Brilliant location close to the shops and harbour, excellent hosts, Peter and Amanda made us feel welcome from the start of our holiday. Breakfast was great. Would definitely return to the Florence guest house.

The breakfast was excellent, the bed was really comfortable and it’s so convenient for Whitby town centre. They were very helpful on local attractions and where to eat ( the best cake shops 😁 ) It was simply a fantastic holiday

Florence Guest House is 3-4 minutes walk from the railway/bus station. The welcome from Pete and Amanda was very friendly. My room on the top floor with separate bathroom which was fine. Very clean and comfortable and most important for me, very quiet. Good tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was superb. Full English with a smaller version also available. Good selection of cereals, preserves, yoghurts and fresh fruit. Amanda is a super chef ably assisted by Pete as waiter despite his Basil Brush jokes. All in all an excellent B&B.

Extreme noise levels from main road at times - pity no double glazing to deaden it a little.

There was nothing not to like

Location was spot on for us as we like to leave the car parked up for our stay. Breakfast was amazing so many choices, Pete did a grand job delivering the breakfast perfectly hot.

Breakfast was fresh and hot with just the right amount of choice. Nothing was too much trouble. A lovely outlook over the park from the bright & stylish breakfast room. Our room was the attic room which was tastefully decorated and had a very comfy mattress and bedding. Our bathroom was next door but as we had the top floor to ourselves, this wasn't a problem. The little extra touches made it feel like the B &B was really cared for, toiletries, umbrellas to use, mints, little pockets of freshness in the wardrobe an electric fan if you got to warm, complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar biscuits...of which you could get more, if needed, from the breakfast room. Pete, Amanda and Cooper the dog were so friendly and accomodating. Parking was just up the road, make sure you book it before you go. Pete takes you to the parking so youre not to flustered about where youre going. The B &B is right in the centre so a little walk and you're in the midst of everything. In all, this was a very pleasant stay in the quaint town of Whitby and we would definitely recommend The Florence Guest House to anyone.
