Staff was very welcoming and ready to give local advice, the room was good and clean, the bed comfortable but the hotel is a bit on the pricey side. Apart from that it was an overall good experience!

There wasn't really anything I didn't like.

The location was excellent, with free parking available just a few yards away. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly keen to ensure that my stay was pleasant.

Staff excellent - lovely breakfast Room fine but shower needs complete renovation - soap dish far too high up - height of shower not adaptable (broken) silicone round base of shower does not look clean and needs totally replaced ie complete new shower would make a vast difference Stairs very steep and bannister not suitable for holding on properly (doubt if it would pass health and safety)

Hotel is quirky and little bit rough round the edges decor wise which is 100% fine for me but if you are very picky, take note. Kinda wanted full breakfast but not offered - what I had was great but wee bit more traditional would be amazing

The stairs could do with another banister on the left hand side. I only say this as they are old stairs and my partner has poor eye sight, but we went down carefully and managed fine.

the breakfast was hot spot on and served with lovely lady. Entrance to the hotel was also no problem and very handy.

Was quite expensive but guess it was peak season so fair enough. Room was very small and bathroom was super compact. Very thin walls, when my fellow guests came in I could hear everything. Had to play 20 questions when booking my breakfast slot. If it had been twenty pounds cheaper I wouldn't have cared but had stayed in much much better rooms just down the coast on same trip for same money.

Only thing I would criticise would be internet connection/speed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was as expected, the room was small but quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast was served on time and tasted very good.

The room was much smaller than I had anticipated but it was clean. The en-suite was also very compact which might impact on guests with mobility issues. Ditto, with the steepish staircase and its handrail. All accommodation in North Berwick is currently expensive (high season) but, once breakfast is included, the price I paid for my room at the Folly Hotel was not exorbitant.

Although I could hear some noise from other guests, my room was essentially quiet during my stay and I slept well. The breakfast was good, although the coffee always seemed to be on the weak side. The female staff were friendly, efficient and courteous and deserve a special mention.

As an older person the shower entry and exit was a bit uncomfortable due to the high step in and out of the cubicle. Also I would feel much safer with a handrail at the staircase . The one on the wall at present offers no opportunity for a safe descent on the narrow and a little steep staircase should one stumble.

The location was very well situated to easy access to all amenities . The car parking space was good to have with easy close and close access from hotel.

Walls are very thin and thus you hear everything going on in other rooms. Floor Boards very creaky, wouldnt mind this if it was only mine i could hear.

Breakfast was not applicable as i was leaving before the Breakfast opened. The reception did offer me something to take away but i declined.

The 2 girls running this bed & breakfast are doing a really good job, very friendly & helpful, nice clean & comfortable room & the breakfast was good. The Folly is just across from golf course & the beach & is just a 5 minute walk to the High Street with plenty of very nice places to eat, shops etc. We really enjoyed our stay.

Accommodation was OK, lean and tidely, but a bit cramped, we stayed overnight but would have found more than a couple of nights trying. We were OK but people of limted mobility should be aware, that the rooms are accessed by a narrow steep stair,
