The draught proofing round the door of Room 7 makes a noise when there’s a strong wind. Annoying.

Quiet rooms in a motel style complex round the back of the pub. Very private and peaceful.

We booked the four poster bed room. We assumed it would be upstairs in the pub. However they had accommodation behind the pub in a modern terrace of rooms. Although this initially disappointed us when we went to our room it was very good and it was a large room with a large shower room and toilet and it felt more like having your own bungalow. We had our breakfast in the pub and it was a very good breakfast and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend the Fountain to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

The wine was expensive by the glass, and we had a few! Should have ordered a bottle really, but never thought at the time. Our room was on the small side, but perfectly adequate. Our guests got a larger room though, which was nice for them.

The appearance of the pub is unique, more so than I had even expected. Great location. Staff attentive and friendly. The bar area was lovely and olde worlde, exactly what we were looking for as we were bringing guests from abroad. Cosy and warm with the log burner, and we didn't get rushed. Very good Full English breakfast next day.

Very nice old world pub, the staff are friendly and helpful, the accommodation is at the rear of the pub in modern building, we dined at the pub and it was good fair priced and well prepared food, I would recommend staying at the Fountain

it was warm. It’s next to and part of the beautiful pub but the rooms are separate so quiet. easy parking. The staff were very welcoming and when I asked them for anything they were only happy to eat. the food was great. We loved it here. The village is also very quaint which was a nice surprise.

From the moment we walked through the door of this fabulous country pub we felt comfortable and at home. The staff are brilliant, attentive, fun and efficient. The pub is busy so always advisable to book a table for food, which exceeded our expectations, it was perfect. We spent a lovely evening relaxing in the bar and enjoying a great dinner. Lots of craic with the staff and made to feel very welcome. The accommodation is newly refurbished and was immaculately clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. I like the way the rooms are situated around a courtyard so are all on the ground floor. We will definitely be returning, just wish it was closer to home so we could visit more often.

Accommodation rooms separate from pub, all on ground floor, plenty of parking, food and bar on site, friendly staff, attentive staff, quiet rooms, very pleasant location.
