The decor was beautiful. Gorgeous room, very clean. Lovely bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good but wish there would have been an option for a continental breakfast.. But all in all, great stay.

The atmosphere of the hotel is relaxing as soon as you arrive and check in until you depart. It is in a quiet location with friendly staff. The dining room, lounge and bar are large and our comfortably furnished room was equipped with all we could need. We dined in each evening as the food was first class.

The bed was very squeaky every time I turned over in the night but apart from this, we couldn’t fault a thing

Honestly everything was excellent and every member of staff treated me as if I was the only guest, they should be very proud, even my beef sandwich was cooked beef joint warm and beautifully presented. The chef is soooooo good.

The staff were amazing I felt extremely cared for, the food was exceptional and Holly who came to check me out was the loveliest person, very caring and friendly. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is in a lovely countryside setting with a small church right next to it. Wonderful experience, would definitely go again and recommend to others. Thank you for looking after me French Partridge. :)

We stayed at this lovely refurbished hotel in one of the superior rooms which was beautifully presented, spacious and comfortable. The evening meal experience starts in the bar where there is a choice of sofas or chairs to sit and chat with your brinks while your order is taken. When you food is nearly ready you move into the dining room. And we went back to the bar after we had eaten to continue our drinks and conversation after we had eaten. While unusual, this made the evening more relaxed without the feeling of waiting. There is a choice of bar food or restaurant menu. The food was delicious, and wonderfully presented. We will be returning, in fact my husband said -“ let’s make this our regular place”.

Manny, the Manager is keen to learn from his guests and asks and listens to any guest feedback.

Manny, the Manager, couldn't do enough for us. All of the staff were so helpful...It's a new refurbishment and you can tell everyone there wants it to work. So do I. I wish them all well and will definitely be back.

Lovely little hotel with loads of parking. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and both the evening meals and breakfasts that we had were delicious. We stayed in the family room, oyster was recently refurbished and spotlessly clean with a nice big bathroom. Would definitely recommend if you like a hotel with the personal touch rather than a sterile corporate chain.

Breakfast was very enjoyable. Leisurely stay. Didn’t feel on a time constraint at all. Staff were exceptional. Polite, helpful, friendly. Slept like a log. Bed very comfortable and room temperature just right.

A big party booking meant we we unable to be seated in the dining room for our 8pm reservation. More warning would have been appreciated and maybe a properly laid table in time for our arrival. We were seated in the bar and had to wait a considerable time as the chef was too busy to take on our order. We were really surprised. The staff were apologetic and we had a free drink/nibbles. My review is positive overall because the room and the food were good. The full english breakfast was also good though the cold breakfast buffet needs to be improved. The service is uneven and more basic info needs to be provided on arrival about the lounge areas, the spa facilities and the breakfast hours.

Comfortable large room with lovely beds and cosy decor. Tea and coffee making items, toiletries, fridge, safe and roomy bathroom. The hotel was easy to find, lots of parking and the people running it were friendly and welcoming. The food at dinner was well presented and tasty. Cooked breakfast was good. The price of the room was very reasonabable. The hotel is new and there seemed to be a lot going on which made for some odd moments and much hilarity and laughter during our one night stay at The French Partridge.

Only had half a toilet roll and hand was half full. Workmen turned up early on a Saturday. Unloading scaffolding at 7.30am. Would of liked a buffet breakfast. No breakfast menu. No choices really for veggies.

Herbert was a lovely man. Who greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome. Took on board what we had to say and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Place has only been opened for a few months. So, there are small teething problems. Like no info in the rooms. Ie WiFi. On-site restaurant prices and spa. And telephone directory. Love the old building.

The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard. Still a few bits to be finished but nothing to worry about. My room was absolutely lovely clean fresh and extremely well appointed. The team are kind, friendly and very considerate, I couldn’t have been look after with any more care.
