Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe 4 poster bed was fabulous but mattress was too hard for us. Perhaps a mattress topper could be provided for guests who prefer a softer mattress.
The owner went over and above my expectations to make The Garden room comfortable and inviting. There was an abundance of food and drink. The chilled bottle of Prosecco was unexpected but very welcome. The little garden with its fairy lights was charming.

United KingdomNothing of note.
Cosy room, lovely private garden and the hamper and Prosecco were a lovely touch by Sue the hostess. The accommodation was surrounded by nature and free roaming animals, that made you wish that you didn’t live in a busy manic city.

United KingdomThe room has too much furniture in it so washing up has to be done in the garden with a hosepipe. A bit dark in the room I thought.
The Garden room is in a fantastic location with its own little private garden. The owner had thought of almost everything and I had not expected so many provisions to be in the room. There were actually too many things in there really but it was very kind of her. Peacocks and guinea fowl peering through the blinds were an unexpected but very entertaining extra. A brilliant fire to heat the room and lovely touches such as remote control candles and a bottle with two glasses. It must be very nice and cosy for a couple. A short walk down the lane and one is on the open forest or up the lane to the lovely Red Shoot pub. The owners leave you alone and are very pleasant people.

This is a very quirky but exceptional place to stay. The owners have gone way and above the norm to ensure that this is going to be a fab experience. Even the cooling fan cools and we stayed when it was 30Centigrade and slept soundly. Very comfortable King size bed too. Plenty of places to rent but not like this. 2 very good pubs, one within 5 minute walk the other 25minutes.

Amazing. From entering the farm and being greeted by Sue and the animals, to the property itself and the generous condiments provided in the welcome hamper! It is in an ideal location with walks right on the doorstep. Couldn't have asked for more. We have already booked to return!

United KingdomA quiet spot perfect for relaxation. You need a car but there are attractions in driving range. There are many places for an meal out. We found Budgens did a fantastic range of goods for a meal in. There is a small combination oven in the room. There was a complimentary hamper and the room is well stocked with tea and coffee. It was a nice treat waking each morning to a peacock gazing in.

We enjoyed everything, from the room, the animals to the beautiful location. The room was absolutely amazing, very comfortable and clean! The welcome hamper was fabulous, we couldn’t believe the amount of goodies inside it and other goodies on the table (Prosecco, bread, cheeses cake etc) and in the fridge (butter, water, soft drinks) Sue and Maz the owners and the lovely lady that was helping out (didn’t get her name) were so friendly and interesting. Will definitely be going back!

United KingdomNothing, we loved everything!
This was our second visit to The Garden Room (as we loved it so much last year we felt we had to come again and stay a bit longer). We loved having what amounts to a tiny cottage with it's own garden. Sue is very generous with her welcome hamper of food, and we liked having the little kitchen area where we could prepare simple meals rather than pay through the nose at the pub. Learning from last time, we bought 'ping' dinners from a branch of 'Cook' in Ringwood, so we could come in after a day of walking to a decent / quick / cheap meal - perfect!

United KingdomNothing! Everything was perfect!
The host, Sue, was friendly and accommodating. She helped us out whenever we needed and introduced us to her lovely animals. The hamper filled with goodies blew us away, and the prosecco and beers were delightful. The room was cosy and romantic. We loved the chimenea outdoors and had it going every evening. There's nothing better than sipping a glass of prosecco with the fire going, watching the sunset! The location was great and was a short drive to most nearby towns. If you want a true New Forest experience, this is the place to stay!

United KingdomWe loved staying at the Garden Room, which is located on a working farm with amazing walks and scenery all around. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating - giving us a massive hamper of food and bubbly on arrival to see us through the weekend and giving us advice on where to go and what to see. It was especially amazing that we could bring our dog and enjoy our time all together. Couldn't recommend more and will be coming back as soon as we can!

United KingdomNothing, it was all perfect! The property is a little off the beaten track (which is why we liked it), but there is a shop on the campsite nearby where you can get a few provisions. We did eat at the local pub (which was a bit pricey) so we would advise that you eat / shop at Ringwood during the day whilst out and about.
This really is an exceptional property, and the care and attention to detail that has gone into making sure that guests have a comfortable stay is amazing. Not only is the room beautifully furnished, with extremely comfortable sofa and bed, but there is a wonderful secluded garden with plenty of seating and a BBQ should the weather be good. Most welcome of all was the wonderfully stocked hamper that was stuffed full to the brim with scones / pastries / snacks (not to mention the wine & chocolates by the bed!) We had a fantastic couple of days, and we can fully recommend this little peace of paradise to anyone that appreciates the unusual and enjoys having animals around :)

Stayed here for 2 nights with a lovely warm welcome from Sue & Maz. very generous hamper, Prosecco, bread, milk, tea, coffee etc, Wi-Fi BBQ available and fuel, chiminea and wood available. Nice to get away from it all. loved the early morning wake up call from the Cockerels, peacock and geese. Garden was lovely and great to sit out in anytime of the day. You are in the sticks so don’t expect phone signal which is quite nice. Pub up the road and you can use the camp site shop for any other bits you need which is behind the pub. Lovely area and would highly recommend this place
