Very warm and well presented, a mixture of zones. Very light and airy restaurant, very well decorated and comfortable room.

Stairs were narrow but that is to be expected in an older building so nothing to really complain about

The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. We only had a couple of nights there but it was a wonderful experience. and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the establishment to anyone wanting accommodation in that area.

It was very warm with no temperature control so just opened the window, outside of that it was a great stay.

Love staying at this place, and like everything in life - nothing is Perfect. What could be in proved? - Bathrooms: Somewhere to place your Wash Bag. The rooms (i've stayed in most of them!) have shelving in the bathroom, but very few have adequate place to place a reasonable sized washbag near the sink for handy use. - It can be a little noisy: Not really the fault of the Hotel, more the proximity to the main road and the absurd amount of traffic. Ask for a Rear Room if you're a light sleeper.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel is a great location. Bedrooms are clean, spacious (Deluxe Double) and very comfortable. Staff are welcoming, and always attentive to any needs Excellent Bar with a great selection of beer, and one of the few places that still serve a decent Pint in a Jug Glass! Breakfast is delicious - but if you're staying over and hoping to for an early getaway... do factor in they do not begin the service until 07:30

This is an old pub full of character and beautifully furnished. It is very comfortable and every little detail is thoughtfully provided, such as a radio playing classical music in the bedroom and very nice tea, coffee and chocolates. Also whisky! Beautiful toiletries from Bramley add to the luxury. The bed is enormous and very comfortable. The staff are all warm and helpful. This is a super place to stay!

the bed was quite bouncy and the quilt too thick. The window wouldn't stay open so no fresh air Breakfast was very slow

The rooms had everything you needed including chocolates! Food selection for dinner was excellent Staff very welcoming and informative Night light in bathroom very helpful

I wondered if it could be considered that when the hotel and staff all leave at night , if a resident wanted any savoury items in the room( to pay to get of course)you could get them . Crisps etc I would have liked to have some that later evening. Just a thought maybe if not in the room then the small room with paid access to items ?

Road can be a little noisy if staying at the front of the property but otherwise ideal.

Bedroom attractive and quirky but you do have to watch your head and a long way to carry bags upstairs. But inevitable in an historic building.

Breakfast was superb. Especially eggs Benedict. Good ingredients cooked well. Fresh fruit and pastries great.

Evening meal and drinks were rather expensive. There was only one other group and us in the restaurant! Another time would probably eat out. Also a little about the history of the building would be welcome.

Super friendly staff, brilliantly located in the middle of town. Food … wow 🤩 Little touches so so good! Like complimentary whisky in the quiet room. Comp gin in your room. Roll top bath & cosy well presented room and bed to die for. Would have slept forever if I could on that mattress! Such a wonderful special stay. Loved every minute!

The biggest disappointment was the food. we had an evening meal which was tasty but with an over fussy menu when a more basic fare would be welcome. The breakfast was certainly a disappointment as it was very small with 2 rashers of bacon which were the size of a ball point pen and rock hard, and the cost of an extra mushroom or half of tomato etc. at £1-50 each was overpriced and no value at all. This view is given constructively in an effort to help your feedback.

The stay in general was very good, staff very helpful and hotel was clean and comfortable, and the charging points in the car park were very convenient.
