Only two cereal selections, cornflakes or fruit and fibre. I like a bowl of fruit and yogurt for breakfast, only apples and oranges to peel yourself. Menu selection very poor. Everything came with chips!!! Would have liked to have seen a specials board and salad or jacket potato option on the menu as well. No excuse as the place was busy every night.

The room spacious, clean and comfortable in the lodge. The George Inn is a small pub, nice but not really the sort of pub i would drink in as a regular if i lived local. Nice place for a meal but limited menu and a bit pricey. Staff are pleasant.

Check in was stated form 4pm, when we arrived after a 5 hour journey it seems check in has changed to 4.30pm but we had not been notified. Bathroom could do with updating Could do with some brighter lighting in the room Noisy people in room above us, slamming doors, children running around constantly

The bedroom chair was rather hard but I think a soft chair would have taken up too much space. I did not need to write during my overnight stay but I think that anyone needing to would have had to use the dressing table and dressing table stool.

My room was small but there was good hanging space for clothes and a very comfortable bed. The shower worked nicely. I had a nice dinner and a good breakfast. The tea at breakfast was particularly good. I don't know the variety.

Dinner was amazing! Breakfast was classic and simple, full English not greasy at all, which it can be sometimes! Staff are really friendly and helpful. No worries about parking.

I liked everything but as dog friendly I couldn't find a bin to put dog bag in maybe I missed it but other then that absolutely excellent!!!

No one was there to provide me with access to the room I had paid for.

I had and had paid for a booking for last night. I arrived at 6.30 pm, only to find everything locked up, no access to reception to obtain the key and had to find alternative accommodation.😡

Needed to cancel as family poorly but could not get refund although when at hotel I was told it will be sorted but no so won’t be going back in a hurry

We paid £110 for a King size room. The room felt cold which did nor warm up after turning up the radiator. It felt on the cramped side. We boiled the kettle for tea but there were just 3 packets of tea and so not enough for our morning cups. The curtains were tired and faded. Looking on the inside, the lining had mould on both window curtain sets. The outside steps to the staircase were not well lit and I missed the step. My ankle rolled, fortunately I did not twist it but could easily have done so. The price we paid was certainly not worth the money and the £110 did not include breakfast. There was no answer to the reception desk when I rang to cancel breakfast and there was no one available when we checked out.

We were able to have the room even though we arrived before the 4pm check in. The pint of ale was good.

Being right next to a busy road. Difficult to open the window because of the bushes but noisy from the traffic when window open. The room smelt musty/damp with no bathroom window. Being dog friendly, I feel carpet is not ideal and less clean. The basin tap was very stiff. The shower curtain needs replacing and I felt the bathroom could be cleaner or updated. Disappointed with the soap sachets.
