Lovely area and staff, bedroom, nice walks, amazing breakfast!

As we only stayed 2 nights it was fine for our visit . Most of the staff were really pleasant and happy to serve and help , all but one barmaid who gave the impression serving the public was an inconvenience, but I suppose we all get off days !?

It was clean (although the stair carpet could do with a go over with a Rug Doctor ) bed was comfy , breakfast was hot and plentiful

Very good location, overlooking the harbour. Rooms very clean & comfortable. Excellent food, both dinner & breakfast with very generous portions. Staff really friendly & attentive.

The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, everything was spotless and we had a great view of the bay. Breakfast was superb and surpassed all expectations. We were set up for the day and nothing was too much trouble.

Pillows, but found the same everywhere we went. Need to have at friendly least one solid foam pillow(not foam chips) in every room

Our TV didn’t work properly, but we told a staff member who apologised and helped rectify it quickly.

Easy to find, staff extremely helpful, food was amazing, all local produce. The room was small but lovely. It had everything you needed, tea making facilities and even bottled water. The bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. The shower was amazing, good powerful water supply. Breakfast was plentiful, cereals, croissants, a pot of tea each and a full fry up if you want it. I’m not a meat eater but my partner said the bacon and sausages tasted really fresh.

Room had a lovely view of West Bay, very comfortable, with a lovely shower and plenty of toiletries. Also with plenty of Tea and Coffee facilities. Breakfast was lovely, accommodated for my allergies, Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing really, could do with hooks for hanging the towels, but that's not a negative.

Location was perfect, could see all of the harbour.

The only minor downside was the £8 each home made deserts which were flagged up on the menu “ We have a resident "dessert" guru in Les who hand makes all of the desserts and they are not to be missed!” We had a bread and butter pudding and a lemon and raspberry cheesecake and sorry to say that both were disappointing.

Nice pub /restaurant hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable, well appointed large rooms with all facilities (only missing sockets next to bed to be 10/10). Although above the pub and overlooking the central ‘square ‘ the room was nice and quiet. Heavy curtains and blackout blind helped. Bathroom with good shower and plenty of hot water. Good food and beer at the bar in a pub with a pleasant atmosphere. Excellent breakfast.

Breakfast was good (and plentiful)! We loved visiting with Leonard, the gentle giant—-truly an asset to The George. We miss him already!

great location, very comfortable bed. an excellent breakfast variety and really friendly staff. the down side was parking a car where the seagulls regularly coated my car, which couldn’t be helped for The George and were happy for us to use their water and bucket to clean my car 👍

Very comfortable room, looking out towards the harbour. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. Location great, at the centre of West Bay and right by the bus stop for buses to Weymouth and Lyme Regis.

The breakfast was excellent and plenty of options, the staff where so friendly and accommodating. I stayed for one night before my wedding and they allowed a late check out and for my grooms party to get ready in the room with no issues. They delayed opening the pub for a few minutes so we could get some photos of the party down in the bar. Thank you so much and I will return with my new wife.

A shelf in the shower! (in room 1). Us "oldies" have difficulties in getting down and back up again!

Excellent location, good food, lovely staff and all very clean. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Will go again.
