Great little place for a stay in Hove

The room itself was in the loft and the slant of the roof combined with the colours made it difficult to know I was going to bang my head on them or not. I am quite tall.

    Great people, location and service

A comfortable night’s stay in an ideal location for a trip down memory lane in Hove

I had reserved a table for dinner but unfortunately my brother’s flight was almost an hour late at Gatwick and so we didn’t get to the hotel until 9.40 by which time the kitchen had already closed, although the opening times were advertised as up to 10pm. We were told the last customers had left over an hour ago so I suppose it would have been unreasonable for the kitchen to stay open just for us. Still, it was a little disappointing to have to walk into Hove to look for a late opening restaurant, especially when we were only staying the one night and had been impressed by the reports of the food.

The Ginger Pig was ideally located next to the seafront and within very close walking distance of central Hove. The room was very comfortable and with a spacious, well-equipped bathroom.

Modern, stylish rooms above a local pub/restaurant. Great for short stay in Hove/Brighton.
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • King Room with Sea View
    • Stayed 1 night

We booked a day before good friday and so the price was more than double the 'normal' price for the room so somewhat expensive for one night. The image of the pub outside was OK but not in keeping with the room quality. Parking was either street-based or in a quite expensive car park in an area that i wouldn't want to hang about in for too long after hours. Didn't try out the food or hospitality in the ground floor pub/restaurant but it looked good quality and we would have tried it if we hadn't booked elsewhere.

These are basically relatively new rooms that have been added above and at the rear of an established pub/restaurant. The room looks new and very modern if a little spartan. The bed was very comfortable and there was a view of the sea out of a small window that you could see from the bed. The free-standing bath in the bedroom was a nice touch when combined with a separate modern quite large shower room and toilet. Full tea and coffee making equipment plus good quality toiletries from Cowshed. Check in was all done online as was check out. One of the pub/restaurant staff showed us to our room and went through all the facilities. We didn't have any problem with noise from the pub below whilst we were there. All was done with real friendliness and efficiency. The rooms are close to the Rockwater Hove restaurant and bar which is what brought us to the area.

Great destination, comfortable with welcoming staff.

The décor. Dark and gloomy, paintwork scuffed and in need of redecoration. The dining room is dominated by a vast silvery stainless steel air conditioning pipe. Against a dark back ground it is a strong statement. It felt like a factory unit. In the morning the sun was shining but the dark, slightly tired decor made the dining room feel gloomy and a little unclean.

Great tasting food and very friendly warm staff who had time for the customer. In the room, fresh bottled milk, a whole range of snacks. Generous and welcoming. Good tea bags. Great bathroom with excellent toiletries. Comfy Bed.

A bit of a mix up with the restaurant bill as I was charged for a bottle of wine rather than a glass

Location to the sea front is brilliant. Nice meal in the restaurant although the s Grilled sole was small for the price

For the same price as a good Brighton hotel, we got a stylish, clean 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of space for our 1 year old to roam. Although no parking on site, the public car park was only a couple of minutes walk away. As was the Hove sea front. Lots of lovely little pubs and restaurants nearby. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Mews House Accommodation was superb! Immaculately clean and very comfy. Staff at the Ginger pig were very helpful & friendly. Good modern vibe in the pub. Location was fab, lots of restaurants & bars nearby. Seafront on the doorstep. We walked into Brighton (long walk) and went to the Forge comedy club. Good value for money).

We’d prefer to have a small dresser for our folded clothes rather than living out of our suitcases.

Well…the weather wasn’t great so that limited some of the adventures we wanted have. Lovedtcases the cozy bar. Dining room for breakfast first morning was 👍

We were on the top floor so did have to suck a fair bit in the room as the eaves were quite dominant in our room, but really did add to the character.

Really beautiful building and the room was so comfortable. The staff were so friendly and even allowed my partner to bring breakfast from the restaurant to our room! Such a relaxing few days and will definitely return!

The instructions for getting in were scary - but it was a lot simpler when actually doing it than it seemed like it would be.

The room was lovely! Great double bed, massive walk-in shower and free-standing bath. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming - I felt completely at home in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner even though I was on my own. The food was just lovely - both breakfast and dinner.
