The room was very small for the £100 we paid (no breakfast) The furniture was very mis-matched ie an old fashioned bureau, wicker chair, metal bed side tables! There were 2 televisions attached to the wall, I’m guessing the one behind wasn’t working so they’ve replaced it, but not bothered to take the other out. For some reason there was a mattress ‘under’ the bed aswell as the obvious one on the bed!! Stuffed in the wardrobe (not folded, just screwed up) were 2 double, stained duvets. It seemed like a storage room!

Very poor for the price £100,for small double bed a smaller ensuite than our caravan washroom.Wish we had gone to a premier inn for a cheaper price with a hypnos comfortable bed.

A larger bathroom it was tiny. The room was cold and when we asked for a heater they couldn't supply one.

The room wasn't very noise proof. I'm not usually bothered by noise, but there was all sorts of crashing and bashing throughout the night that kept me awake.

The food in the restaurant downstairs was delicious, best fish and chips I've ever had! and the staff were so nice and I felt well taken care of. My room was clean and bed was comfy.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, the location central and good for exploring Cirencester. The owner attended immediately to an issue with the television and resolved this, which was appreciated. Thank you.

No breakfast was provided in the price - £150 for a family room for three people to stay. Online I had seen a more basic pub type menu but this did not appear to be available or was not offered to us. The comfort levels in the room were very basic and more akin to an £80 room, not £150. There were not any particular benefits to it being a hotel, an Airbnb for this price per night would have been far better quality. Sadly seem to be profiteering on the shortage of accommodation in Cirencester to book. The access to the rooms was a bit bleak and quite steep steps. Shame could have been so much better.

The restaurant downstairs was great food although quite expensive. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is very central in Cirencester and quite buzzing.

The room was excellent; very clean and recently renovated to a very high standard. The bathroom was immaculate, shower was beautiful and the location of the hotel was bang in middle of the town offering easy access to the shops and restaurants.

Nothing. Everything was as expected.

Our hosts were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble.They explained that they had recently taken over and that certain work was still to be started. The pub was fantastic, very popular with the locals, which is a good sign. The food was great. The work on the rooms start this month and sound fantastic when complete.

Heating/Shower/ Lights

Location Good, staff very friendly but the room was poor , the heating and hot water didnt work initially at all. The Shower needs a complete overhaul ! The Staff tried there best to assist but I wouldn't stay there again I’m afraid !

Nothing we didn’t like.

It was right in the centre of Cirencester, walking distance of a free car park on a Saturday evening and Sunday which was perfect for us to stay overnight on the weekend. The owner & staff behind the bar couldn’t of been friendly and more accommodating. The apartment was also very spacious.

dirty carpet. crumbs on bedside table. plug socket hanging off the wall not safe. bath panel hanging off screws hanging out of it. hole in wall behind door. mattress very uncomfortable. such a shame as could be nice.

Very small loo seat did not fit the pan, leaving a huge gap between. The silicone of the shower is black with age. The basin is so small one cannot help but splash water on the floor. Major overhaul of en-suite needed. The bed sheet had not been ironed and was stained! The TV - "No signal - requires tuning". And - no breakfast on offer.

See my review for the previous night (which had been booked separately hence two reviews). Although the room was cleaned after my complaint, the mini fridge was still missed. The first light coming into the room wasn't working and the furnishings are generally dated. There were two TVs in the room (one behind the other) though neither was working for live TV and had to log into my personal IPlayer account

The room and in particular the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned - soap tablet (complete with hairs) and half used shampoo bottle still in shower, almost no toilet roll, TV not working, bedding stained, mini fridge and mugs not cleaned, no teaspoon, kettle too big to get under tap to fill, no breakfast available, the communal lounge/TV room mentioned on the listing appears not to exist, bar/restaurant not open on either of the two nights I stayed, very noisy fan/generator under window. I did complain on the first morning and they did clean the room (still missed the mini fridge though) and change bedding and provide new towels but the place is in need of some serious TLC to bring it up to standard and to warrant the £86 charge per night
