There were a few things that I thought could have been better (I hope I'm not being picky) The door was locked on one side of the building and no one answered the intercom. I used the door on the main road side, came through the bar area and again no one was at the reception area. There were two screens for self check in which didn't recognise my booking ref number. After a wait the cleaners had to call someone who checked me in. I think it would be nice to have someone check one in especially when this should be your first impressions of staying somewhere. The curtain in the room was hanging off the rail but this was put right as soon as I asked about it. It would have been nice to have had a bottle of water in the room, I don't drink tea and coffee which was provided. I noticed a couple of flies in my room which I tried getting rid of. This was also noticed when I went down for breakfast. There were flies in the room of the open hot food. The food wasn't covered, bacon, scrambled egg, beans etc and the bread so I couldn't eat this. I feel as the hotel didn't seem busy, breakfast could have been made individually for people instead of stewing over a hot plate left open.

The hotel is a lovely building situated in a popular area close to other amenities. The room I stayed in was a lovely big spacious room, clean, with lots of light from the big windows. The bathroom was a reasonable large size, again lots of light from the window and clean. The TV had all channels working inc Netflix which was a bonus.

See above Oh , and some boys running and shouting up and down the corridor at 1.30am . The noise in the hotel was pretty bad for much of the night .

We know that the hotel has been refurbished so we were expecting it to be okay , however the bathroom was lovely and an extra suprise . A bit disappointed that the attention to detail in the room was not so good ( no tea bags , only 1 hand towel , jacuzzi bath not so clean ) but other than that , pleasantly surprised .

Noisy plumbing. No heated towel rail, towels are far from wash basin and bath tub The shower was difficult to work. My room was a little chilly at night. I am disabled, my room was far from the lift. No disabled access into the hotel, both entrances have steps. No food available in the bar, apart from nuts and crisps.

Room was massive, the bed was huge, sound proofing was good . I loved the led mirror in the bathroom. Breakfast was nice but limited for vegan. Some scrambled tofu or some type of fish would have been nice as I don’t eat any meat, eggs or cheese. The location was perfect, bus stops are outside and opposite the hotel. The Middleton shopping mall is right opposite the hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay.

It’s dated, has broken windows, when it rained heavily there were buckets everywhere. I asked for my room to be made up one day and all they did was change the toilet roll. Didn’t hoover, change the bed or the towels. Radiator in room was on, when asked if they could be turned off got told the heating was off it’s the hot water pipes that are heating it….y too was on the 3rd floor and it had been a very warm weekend. Came back from my tiling course needing a shower one evening and there was no hot water. Apparently the boiler had been turned off in order to cool the hotel down!!!

Room was roasting, had the window open but didn't do much and had a nightclub nearby blaring music until 4am and lots of shouting and fighting outside. Had bother at check in as it said we'd paid but booking.com hadn't released payment so had to sit for ages on the phone to booking.com until we were allowed to check in.

Room was comfy and quite big, good options on TV including Netflix and Disney+, great location for where we were going. Had a meal in the Mumbai restaurant which was lovely

Issues re checking in with regards to encouraging guests to self check in however not linking up with main system. Staff member knocked on room door 20-45 to ask my name & if I had checked into room. Confirmed this then received a phone call to my room to check if I had paid? Had to wait for a staff member in morning to manually check out & confirm payment.

Recently refurbished clean bright & comfortable. Excellent location to shopping centre.

There was an issue with the booking system of the hotel. We have booked a standard double but the system booked us in a single room. The hotel staff was amazing as they did upgrade us for the first night and the second night they did find a solution by putting us in two separate singles which was not the most convenient but they did their best which is much appreciated. That was the only issue. In regards to the rooms they could do with and upgrade in furniture as they were a bot old fashioned but not an issue.

The building was stunning, locationwise the hotel was very central and everything was in walking distance. The staff was brilliant and very helpful.

Excellent staff, helped me with all my needs. Superb breakfast and customer care. Room was clean and tidy, and with sufficient space. Situated in the Centre and well served by all services(including taxi,buses, shops,restaurants and pubs) with an advanced booking of two weeks, i didnt pay much.(Nice & cheap). Definitely a good place to stay

Staff working Saturday were a joke. Very unprofessional, dressed like chavs and were a little to be desired. Bedroom window wouldn't close as the screws used to fix it closed weren't secured properly which meant the suite was freezing until we dealt with it. Tv didnt work as didn't the hair dryers. Also, useless staff on Saturday who allegedly booked us in as the check in software didn't work, didn't book us in properly so we weren't actually checked in. Moving forward, staff has to be well dressed, on it and ooze professionalism.

Beautiful building thats been brought back to life and facilities were great.

Lift wasn't working so had to take luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Third floor still being renovated and screened off. Problem with no hot water although offered free breakfast to compensate. Can be difficult to get in through hotel doors as locked and when receptionist is not working its up to the staff at the bar to come round. Inside buzzer doesn't work at the bar and if it's busy it's quicker to walk round and go through bar. Not great if your checking in with luggage as the steps are quite steep.

Rooms are much cleaner and have been refurbished. Staff are all very friendly and happy to help with any issues or queries. Breakfast is 100% improved to when I last stayed (3 years ago).
