Beautiful surroundings and very quiet. Comfy beds and a wonderfully dark room for a good sleep. Hosts were lovely and breakfast excellent.

I left my car there and was given lift to Exeter airport. All worked well. Too early for breakfast.

The hotel is tired and just needs brightening up. It is a lovely old building with lots of lovely features thogh.

We had a larger room which was very comfortable light and clean. The breakfast was good and served quickly.

The buffet breakfast was mediocre , it could have been better. The cooked breakfast looked good but I can't eat it.

Am used to a slightly firmer bed, but that's a matter of opinion, not a criticism.

Breakfast was excellent. Bedding and towels all clean and fresh. Shower was piping hot. Staff were superb.

A bit more surface space in the room, for example a dressing table or simply a table and chair would have been good. Especially if we had been staying longer.

Felt so welcome, if your looking for a traditional b and b it is perfect, cosy, warm and I felt as though I was being invited in to stay the weekend at a friends home. Staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was a must!

The bed mattress was not very comfortable. We stayed for three nights and the carpet was not vacuumed during our stay. I do know, however, had we asked this would have been done. The location is difficult to get to without a car. There is a long driveway from the main road to the property - a torch is needed if you return on foot at night time - and bus stops are quite a walk away.

Excellent breakfast. Plenty of choice. Cooked breakfasts were lovely and served quickly. Our room had fabulous views and was large. Wonderful grounds and plenty of seating when we wanted to sit out in the sun. Staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The packed lunch was very good and much appreciated.

The bed moved over a little bit away from window to create more space when walking by wardrobe and dressing table to avoid catching toes on wooden block on bedframe. No facility to dry towels to support eco environment so we had to have our towels changed every day.

Friendliness of all the staff. If they were able to accommodate a request they would. Location and setting great for us. Hot breakfast was great albeit you had to order what you wanted the night before and time of breakfast was limited. Bed was comfortable.

THE ACCOMMODATION WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND HOMELY . BECAUSE MY WIFE DID NOT HAVE A FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST (WHICH WAS EXCELLENT) SHE WAS ONLY CHARGED A NOMINAL AMOUNT. WE DID NOY ASK FOR THIS -IT WAS OFFERDED. WHEN A TAXI WE HAD PRE ORDERED (FROM SPARKY'S HONITON) FAILED TO TURN UP THE OWNER STEPPED IN AND DROVE US IN HIS OWN CAR TO OUR DESTINATION (WHICH WAS MANY MILES AWAY). HE ASKED FOR NOTHING IN RETURN OTHER THAN A PAYMENT OF WHATEVER AMOUNT WE DECIDED INTO THE STAFF GRATUITIES BOX.
