Good value for Oban, breakfasts are ample and fresh. Staff always helpful and friendly.

The floor in my room was very uneven and moved when walked on. Bathroom was cold as towel rail wasn’t working. Bed was uneven and rose up to bottom end. TV aerial wire was boshed together and didn’t work.(made it work ok myself with a bit of tin foil🤣)

Simple room on ground floor. A bit dated. All the basics were there, kettle, tea, coffee, etc. bed was comfortable. Room was warm. No view as at back of building but it was quiet as no road noise. I have stayed here before but in a much better room.

First room had an unpleasant small. Moved to another room. Much smaller than first room and very tired. Bathroom - One tap had missing top piece. There was hardly any paint on the skirting boards. Heated towel rail did not work - reported but no one came. There is a large stain on the ceiling in the hallway of the room. The impression is that it is very very overdue a refit. The stair carpets are worn down to the backing which is going to be a trip hazard.

Proximity to Corran Hall better than expected.

The room requires some maintenance and freshening up. Room had a smell of damp and a large crack above the bed. Floors are very creaky and the door in the hall next to the bedroom was extremely loud so you were woken up by anyone using public toilets or coming and going.

The location was fantastic and the breakfast was good.

I’d to ask to be moved from our room it smelled damp and had black mould in the toilet disgusting place. Furniture was cheap and one could not move for the squeaky floorboards. Breakfast wasn’t up to hotel standards greasy hot food and no choice of eggs just rubber scrambled. Had to pay £6 to park. My wife is disabled with a parking blue badge which made no difference. In summary, as seasoned Oban visitors for over 45 years it’s without doubt the worst hotel we’ve had the misfortune to stay in. Horrendous

    Not a lot.

The hotel is a little bit tired looking with some wear and tear evident. The bathroom was on the small size with some deterioration obvious,.to the fixtures and fittings.

Great sea view with a mountain backdrop. The staff were all very friendly. The room was large with good seating options. Tea and coffee was available and we were able to get more supplies from reception on request.

It is an older building with some maintenance issues which are to be expected for such a big property but it met our needs.

Easy location to the town centre. Nice old building with character.

Room was tired, there had been a water issue at something as damp patches on ceiling and down wall with discolouration and peeling off paint.( easy fix) Room hadn't been cleaned properly, crisps at one side of the bed and a lot of used coffee sachets down between the wall and dressing table. In the bathroom there was a lot of black mould in a number of places. The lift was very small. When sitting in bar area next to window ledges where cover with water and there was a draft coming out from under window ledge.

The bed was comfortable and it was a cheap room. The shower had good pressure and was lovely and hot. The Staff on reception was friendly. Room warm and there were plenty tea and coffee in room. Location of hotel was perfect. Room was only £87 for 2 nights stay, you get what you pay for.

It wasn't what I had booked . The Bathroom was old and tired and very cold , the heated towel rail didn't work and it was old mixer taps which at one point either went freezing cold or red hot, also my partner was too tall to reach under the Shower . The TV was hanging off the wall . The curtains hanging off the window , cob webs everywhere the bedroom window had a huge crack in it and held condensation. Some sockets didn't work and the bedside light wasn't working either. There was a hole in the roof due to which looked like a flood from upstairs. When we booked I thought I asked for a sea view which again I thought I booked an upgrade but instead we looked onto the back of the hotel which was dull and dismall. I did ask to be moved but was refused as they were busy and had no other rooms . I am not one for complaining but paying the price for what we got was not acceptable. I have taken photos if you require them .

The situation of the Hotel was good for where we needed to be. The Bed was clean and comfy.
