The Green House is a very beautiful and cosy place to stay. Located in a nice area with a bus stop nearby. Melissa is very kind and welcoming and she had good recommendations so things to do and see in the area. There was lots of yummy food available for breakfast.

Everything about The Green House is amazing, especially the host! The warmth and kindness of the host, the beautiful space (the garden is gorgeous, and the lush breakfast!) I will certainly return if I get the chance to visit Portsmouth again.

The kitchen facilities were excellent, continental breakfast. Hot croissants in aga plus help yourself to fridge. Comfortable private bedroom and use of communal lounge. Excellent location, bus stop round the corner.

Everything was perfect. It was so comfortable and stylish. Incredibly quiet. And a great breakfast. I cant imagine you could find anywhere better or more welcoming in Portsmouth.

I would suggest that guests need to be willing to socialise more than in a neutral hotel environment, especially sharing the family kitchen. They need to be happy sharing a bathroom in some instances. This friendly and relaxed environment will suit travellers on holiday in particular.

The owner has spent a lot of time and effort making this an attractive and comfortable place to stay, with a friendly atmosphere. She is welcoming and attentive. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the garden is a beautiful option for sitting out in good weather. The house is well-placed for exploring the city of Portsmouth and Southsea and for connections to the Isle of Wight.

We liked everything a marvellous place to stay at .

I and my husband liked everything the host is so nice and made us feel very welcome. They went above and beyond . There was plenty of cereals and nuts and seeds fruit yogurts bread cheese. We were able to make coffee by the machine there were several different types of tea's. They told us about pubs and restaurants to go to. The bed was very comfortable the bathroom was great. We felt so comfortable we even had an evening in watching TV and having a few drinks. My brother and sister in law loved their stay as well . We would give double top star rating s .

Many things-The host..Melissa was delightful, welcoming, friendly and efficient. Her home was comfy, spacious, spotless and interesting - retro - art deco and a bit Caribbean Island style. Beautiful plants and gardens. An excellent location in a quiet street but near busy restaurants and bus stop direct into town. Any easy 20 - 30 min walk to the hovercraft

I know I should have realized that it is an accommodation with a shared bathroom when I booked it. But I didn't at that time. When I realized this, it was a bit too late, so we gave it a go anyway. Having said that: Melissa keeps the bathrooms spotless.
