The showers in the main block didn’t lock - as a female is a mixed sex bathroom that was really off putting. One of the showers upstairs also doesn’t work.

Given the low expectations, nothing in particular… yet in need of a good overall to make the place more bearable if staying longer…

The affordability of the place made it bearable for a couple of nights while exploring London. Pretty basic accommodation in shared bedrooms. Old building and average shower/wc common area… you get what you paid for.

I know there were signs up re renovation work but being a very communal area toilet facilities need extra attentionie removing rubbish and a general cleanup but I did find a great shower /Bathroom to use in saying that There was no Green Man???

75% of the showers on 1/F were out of action (water or door lock) and 50% of the toilets. No soap tray at shower. No coat hooks or mobile phone shelves in Room 9. This place is in serious need to attention

The showers/toilets weren't great. For the showers only 2 I think were working out of 5 and only one of those had a door that closed properly and locked. It also had big sunken holes when you stood in it which was a bit worrying at first for fear of falling through the floor! There was soap in each but often the dispensers were empty so recommend to byo.

The location of this hostel is the best part! It's a 10 minute walk from padding station which is where you can catch an express train to and from heathrow so perfect for a stop over if you're just breaking up your travel.

No curtains on the beds, and they are very small. Slightly dirty but nothing that would put me off.

You get what you pay for, i’m not going to complain for a stay in paddington (minutes away from station) for £18.

-A few of the guests are the dirtiest I've ever witnessed. They have left food crumbs and rubbish (food wrapping, toothbrush, and razor for example of what I saw) in the toilets, one didn't bother to clean up the seat after doing loo business. The toilets themselves tend to have wet patches on the floor, and one of the toilets has a broken toilet seat (the other was slightly loose). While cleaning does happen, I think it only happens once a day. The toilets on floor one are quite small and as the door opens inside the toilet, it can be a little hard to get out of it. -My room smelt bad on occasion. -Two showers were out of order on floor one, and one of the showers didn't have a lock, even if the shower I used was decent and hot water works fine. -My room had a locker with no lock, and one locker was occupied with a bag that was heavy with dust, meaning it had been there for quite some time. Sorry for not reporting this, but please go to Room 7 and check the locker near the left windows where a shopping bag with blankets and coat hangers are there. It is covered in dust. -No kitchen or fridge for self-catering.

-The beds were comfortable and clean. Free water at the bar and you were offered a £10 volunteer for food and drink. -Nice enough staff, and simple check in and check out. -Room lockers were fine, it'll fit a carry-on suitcase/backpack. -Great location as it was right next to the tube station, near shops and restaurants, and a 10 minute walk away from Paddington Station. -Easy access during night hours, 24 hour staff. With a key card and no deposit it was easy getting in and out of the hostel. -When booked way in advance, the per night price is decent for London. -On bottom bunk bed, there were plugs and USB ports available.

The hostel has an unpleasant smell, I believe it's musty or something. There were no locks on the shower doors. The room was extremely cramped and disorganized with the amount of people crammed into such a small space. Your bed is "glued" to a stranger's bed. The night was always a "symphony of snores".

The location was really good! Really next to a metro station.

the bathrooms were redone a little while ago but now one of the showers is permanently out of use and the two others have no locks on the doors which makes showering impossible. the toilets have also not been maintained with loose toilet seats and offer no paper towels left.

I’ve stay there many times and like the pub, food drinks and staff location is great too with many shops around.

The room was pretty warm, probably more people in it than could comfortably hold. Bathrooms were pretty damp.

I arrived late at night and the guy manning the pub was great. Check-in was quick and helpful. Location is very helpful for a brief stay overnight before catching an early morning train.

The hostel maid keeps the cell phone open where you can hear text messages while she cleans the room, noises that caused me to wake up from sleep. He has no respect for guests who are resting.

One person used a Air cooler all night, all the wind came to me, it was noisy and cold, he didn't want to close it. Only one shower it's worked.
