The only thing I can think of (and it's barely a negative) is that the coffee machine is a nespresso, and there were no instructions on how to use it. As someone who doesn't have a nespresso machine it was a bit of a mystery at first. Oh, and if you're having a drink downstairs they don't have beer on tap. But they do stock bottles and cans.

The place itself is lovely, with a great car park. The room was beautiful; really nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were well stocked and the fridge came with milk instead of UHT (whoop!). The staff were all super friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing.

The room at the front of the hotel was lovely but if you like quiet, you're best spending a little bit more on the bigger room at the back of the house. Both rooms were beautiful!

What a fabulous place. We ended up in the bigger room at the back of the house away from the road and it was so big and roomy, with a lovely lounge and a terrace to spend time on. It was very comfortable with good pillows etc, and some lovely detail around the room. The breakfast was delicious and very much worth buying. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and I can honestly say, it was spectacular. One of the best meals I've ever eaten in a restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was exceptional. We would go again in a heartbeat. There were some lovely little details in the room like brownies on arrival and fresh milk rather than those little UHT cartons, and a good coffee machine.

Didn’t affect us but there wasn’t much clothes hanging space if staying a few nights.

Stayed just the one night to see family but the proprietors/staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Even offered to carry our bags up to our room. The room was clean and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Great shower and very comfortable bed. We didn’t eat there in the evening as we were meeting family but the breakfast was outstanding. A very enjoyable stay.

The room was immaculate, spacious and warm. Beautifully decorated with all the facilities. Shower was nice and large with a really powerful water supply (I am not a small person). Breakfast was great, and they couldn’t do enough for me. If ever I am staying in this area again in the future, this will be my first port of call when booking a room.

Although the two rooms here are comfortable we stay here because the food, staff and ambience are excellent. We stay here as often as travel allows and is perhaps my favourite place to stay in the UK. The dining experience is excellent - the food is imaginative and well presented.

Beautiful room....nice to have a sitting room. Great tv options...take your netflix password...option to use outdoor patio but weather prevented x Food!!! We ate from the 3 course menu.....what a treat. Delicious doesn't describe the care, taste, presentation and flavour. Staff knowledgable and attentive. Handmade chocolates after dinner were a taste buds delight. Breakfast you pre order the night before. Being greeted by name is an added touch and everything cooked to perfection.

Road noise, sadly my room was at the front of the property, and could hear traffic all night. But this did not detract from the overall experience.

Exceptional stay, exceeded expectations and comfort. Very beautiful and boutique bedroom and restaurant. Told this venue was listed as the Top3 restaurant in Leicester! Food al carte and opulent, a first for me. Loved the artistry and theatre surrounding each dish.

We thought the optional breakfast was very expensive given that we normally eat just muesli, fruit and yoghurt. We think there should either be an a la carte breakfast menu or two different options.
