the staff were not very friendly at the begin of our stay, however it did improve. we had a prebook food table with pre-order meals however still wait 40 minutes for our food.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Superb accommodation and restaurant. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The room was large with an attached living area - both had great views over the surrounding countryside. The food in the bar was excellent - good, varied dinner menu and excellent breakfast. Quick service and attentive, helpful staff.

A very nice room in an Inn that allowed pets to be brought along. The room had plenty of space, lots of extras (coffee, tea, etc.) and nicely decorated. Even had blankets for the pets and some chewies ! I think that the Hawk Inn went all the way to make their guests feel at home.

It was unfortunate i was ill during my stay - i had a room right on the front and the noise from the customers out front was very loud at times ... had i been at the party i was supposed to be attending it would have made no difference to me !

I was very ill when i arrived and unfortunately i spent most of the time in bed ... but the bed was amazing for the entire day i slept in it :-)

Twin beds beds, especially since they differed in height thereby accentuating the device. Hot water tap needs attention, the kitchen extraction running all night. Dodgy WiFi. Shower tray was flymsy and already had indentations.

I thought £229 for B&B was very expensive considering the room size. It was the only room available in the area and we had to come that weekend.

It was a very hot night and the duvet made it even hotter but otherwise OK. This is a pub so quite noisy at times and I could hear TV's in other rooms

We could have done with some accessible plug sockets / USB sockets near the bed. We had forgotten our extension chord, and we missed it in this room.

Considering we were sleeping above the pub, it was quiet and great! Happily met our expectations. We had to leave early in the morning, so the manager made us bacon rolls to take away with us, which was brilliant and they were great. The food was good in the restaurant too.

The bedroom was smaller than we are used to but not an issue for a one night stay. The shower worked well but needed the grouting around the base replacing.

Location ideal because adjacent to the Hawk Conservancy Trust we were visiting on the following day. Evening meal was very good and well prepared. Staff friendly and helpful. There was ample choice for breakfast with hot elements cooked to order. The bedroom was well supplied with coffee (Nespresso), tea and biscuits and the absence of a room fridge was compensated by the availability of chilled water from a fridge in the corridor. Ample towels and parking spaces. Outdoor eating available as well as a well laid out bar/dining area. Clearly popular with locals and visitors alike.

Shower sprayed eater vertically from fitting on to ceiling which ran beyond the cubical dripping down the wall and on the floor. A simple fix that needed to be done.
