We enjoyed our stay at The Hedges. Paul and Yvonne were very friendly and responsive, and provided all the information we asked for, as well as some extra tips about the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. We also appreciated the little Scottish extras (whisky and shortbread) that were waiting in our room! We were able to store our luggage at the property as our flight only left in the evening, which was also appreciated.

Beautifully done, spotlessly clean, amazing location, fabulous hosts full of local knowledge and assistance. Lovely little touches in the room such as homemade shortbread and whiskey. Comfortable bed, really perfect and would definitely go back!

Hosts Yvonne and Paul were wonderful, so kind and diligent. Our room was lovely and the property is stunning and well looked after. We slept so well in the comfy bed, enjoyed teas and homemade shortbread, with refills! Bathroom facilities all great. The Hedges is only a 15 min walk from central Edinburgh and the station, so a great location. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Extremely relaxing and comfortable. Yvonne and Paul are excellent hosts and make you feel at home from the start. The room was perfect for our 2 night stay and the small treats in the room were above our expectations. We will definitely return to The Hedges on our next stay in Edinburgh.

No faults - only that we couldn’t stay here for longer!!

The photos don’t do this place justice; our room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Paul and Yvonne kindly left us some welcome treats, including mince pies, gingerbread men, ferrero rochers and more, which made our stay even better! The location was perfect - I’m a very quiet area, but close to the city centre. It was a short walk into the centre where we spent our weekend. Our room was lovely and warm, which after a very wet and cold weekend, was exactly what we needed. We hope to come back to Edinburgh in the future, and would love to stay again. Thank you for making our stay so great!

Absolutely loved our stay at The Hedges. Super welcoming hosts. Room, en-suite and entranceway were immaculate. Lovely personal touches left in our room made us feel right at home. Only a short 10 min or so walk into town. Couldn’t recommend The Hedges enough.

This property was exceptional. It was warm, cosy and welcoming. There was everything you could possibly want, from white fluffy towels, lovely soaps and lotions and the lavender sleep spray next to the bed. There were home made shortbread biscuits and an assortment of teas. The bed was super comfy and a lovely garden view from the window. I also loved the fresh flowers on the mantle piece. The property was in a great location and an easy walk from the station.

Forgot to mention ... their attention to detail was wonderful. They added lots of little extras (whisky and shortbread for example) which was lovely. Great atmosphere and the owners were lovely too.

We loved staying at the hedges we had a lovely welcome and shown to our beautiful room. The homemade short bread and whisky was such a nice touch. The room was very clean and had everything you need for your stay and the bed was really comfy ! We will definitely stay again. thank you

The location was great - between 15 and 30 minutes walk into the town centre. But just out of the way, in a really lovely, quiet location The rooms were done very nicely and there were lots of thoughtful touches. Yvonne and Paul were such lovely hosts. Although we didn't interact with them lots, every time we did, we came away feeling well 'thought of'. There was a slight issue with the water heating, but Paul rectified this within about 10 minutes of us raising it to him. Things happen, but it's the responsiveness that's important. I would definitely return.

The property is a little walk out of city center, which made it nice because Edinburgh was bustling with festival season and The Hedges was quiet, comfortable and within walking distance to most attractions. They provide some nice extra touches to make you feel completely at home and the rooms are on the first floor so required no lugging baggage upstairs!
