How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything in the apartment was perfect - my only gripe was probably the sloping ceilings but this did not detract from our enjoyment.
The attention to detail - everything to make your stay pleasurable was thought of. Loved all the little touches which were above and beyond :D

All was good - slopey walls at the sides were a (very) slight inconvenience for my tall husband and there was some slight street noise in the evenings, but nothing major.
Convenient location for walking - close to the coast / Hurst Castle and Solent Way towards Lymington. Milford-on-Sea had nice cafe and bakery options. Good kitchen and amenities.

The bathroom could have been a little warmer.
We loved how the apartment had been decorated with bold colours. Bright orange in the bedroom, lime green crockery, all so beautifully done. Great Espresso coffee machine.

Would have appreciated something to step out on from the shower.
The location was really good and quiet. We arrived, parked the car and had no need to use it again until we left. It's a very comfortable apartment with a number of 'I want that' pieces.

the only downside was the lighting which was too harsh for our taste. but we didn’t allow this to affect our rating of 10 as everything else was so wonderful.

The flat had everything you could think you would need, washing machine and dishwasher tablets, so literally everything is there, we even found a flask in the cupboard to take hot drinks on our exploration of the new forest. Very homely and comfortable accomodation , everything was done to a very high standard in the flat. Location was excellent and peaceful. The milk and treats on arrival was a nice touch as was the coffee and tea.

Parking a bit tight with 5 cars on the drive, luckily we don’t have a big car

Location of the property was great for walks and near to the village and 10 mins walk to the sea front. Apartment was very clean and had lovely little touches that made it very comfortable . Bath room was great,lovely shower, kitchen had everything you could need.

Beautiful little apartment with top end appliances, very well decorated and extremely clean. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and even 6 lovely fresh muffins were left for us on arrival. Exception facilities and very modern. Every little detail seemed to have been thought of. Would definitely recommend this booking to a friend or family.

Everything, the blankets, the lamps, location was lovely. Loved the wood burning stove. So much information was given aswell for us to make the most of our time there. Perfect little place.

The only thing that could be improved would be if it were possible to switch the heated towel rail in the bathroom on separately from the main heating.
The apartment had everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely stay.
