This is a really lovely place with exceptional views. The property was warm, comfortable and cosy with everything you could possibly need. We could relax and decompress from everyday life.

The property lived up to it's exceptional rating it was a beautiful stay with a stunning interior we spent Christmas Eve & Christmas Day 🎄 it had a fully equipped kitchen for us to cook a full Christmas dinner, the WiFi and Television equipped with all mod cons made for a very cosy stay, the views are exceptional. The Host contacted us before arriving with very detailed directions which made the journey incredibly easy to arrive and unpack with ease. If you are looking for a country getaway for amazing value look no further 10/10

Nothing - walk up a small hill from car..but the reality is to stay in a hidden gem like this ..small walk up the hill is nothing. No good for anyone with walking difficulties though

Brilliant - middle of nowhere hidden gem. Close enough by car to shop / take away. Amazing. Kitchen and property had everything you needed! View amazing, horses lovely plus for kids. Safe for kids Just Brillaint!!

The Hobbit House.. what a beautiful hidden gem! Nestled in the hill, magical door to enter and then a beautiful warm & modern finish within - and the constant view! Do visit.. it’s a must

We drove past the lodge a couple of times, signpost would help. A few instruction manuals on how to use stuff instead of walking around flicking light switch on and off

There's absolutely nothing to not like about the lodge! Only thing I think we missed was a microwave so we could heat up some food we had (but that didn't put us off at all, only a suggestion 😊)

My bestie and I wanted a weekend of peace and BOY did we get it.... stunning location, so peaceful - only noise is from the occasional neigh of the horses or a twitter from a bird! Never experienced such a calming space. All the amenities you need with some personal touches too. The horse food to feed the 3 horses was such a sweet touch (and I'm scared of horses but they were super friendly!), remember to take carrots 😉 We thought we'd try to order a takeaway (given how rural we were, we weren't hopeful) however, the Wong Wong in Weston Rhyn deliver and the Chinese was amazing!! The sunrise is well worth getting up early for as it's so stunning, equally if it's a bit drizzly to watch the mist rise to uncover the valley below is just as stunning. Some friends of ours have already booked to stay here on our recommendation! Mike and Gilly were the perfect hosts! Honestly if you're after that haven of peace and tranquility then the Wilderness Lodge excels and then some! Thank you.

Lovely modern accommodation in quiet rural setting with far reaching views. Host was helpful & welcoming. Nice to have horse and ponies coming to the property fence.

Nothing, it is exactly as described. A small handbook of instructions would be useful in the house. We had never used an induction oven before haha

The setting is stunning and unique and it was very quiet The horses that come up to the fence was a lovely added extra. So many friends have asked me for the link of where we stayed. Owners was very responsive. We got home today and booked again for next year!

The hill on the drive up, but hey for views like that it's worth it.

The place was absolutely beautiful the views were amazing... The hourses in the morning was a bonus. The children cried when leaving...Would a 100% stay again.

A microwave (and toaster?) would be useful A lingering smell of paint (as if not fully aired) which took some adjusting to.

Everything was perfect

Beautiful location exceptional home with beautiful views. Country location quiet and chilled place to be. Quirky and fantastically kitted out everything you could possibly need, the horses greet you every day and the sunrises and sunsets are amazing. Looking forward to visiting again.

Traditional British weather sent torrential rain for the whole valentine's weekend; but this didn't stop us having a wonderful time at Hobbit House. The weather for us was a non-issue; apart from how muddy and slippery it made the hill/lane to access the property. A little more gravel may be useful along the lane to help make it less slippery and reduce falls.

Hobbit House was simply wonderful. Stunning views and beautiful sunrise each morning. The property was well equipped and to a high standard throughout. Tranquil space to relax and unwind. Chirk Aquaduct worth a walk and lots of lovely places to paddle nearby had the weather been better.

this isn’t really a negative - but to add some extra chill to the stay a hot tub would be perfect at this location

the location is fantastic, if you want to get away from the rat race of life this is a good stop
