We were disappointed with the misleading location as it is advertised as Tetbury but is 8 miles outside. The external appearance was also disappointing although it is painted a nice colour. There is plenty of scope for improvement outside on the road.

We were very pleased with the quality of our room after a very mixed start. It was all newly refurbished and clean. The bar area was spacious and the quality of the food was very good. The staff all cared about the business - shame about the outside.

The restaurant was very good, tasty and good service. The breakfast included is scrumptious and hot. Enjoyed it very much. Dinner also recommended.

It was lovely and clean. The chalet was so cosy and the little extra touches made it so Homely. A great few nights to rest while at Badminton Horse Trials.

Two of us had steak and it was so tough my sister could not cut it up. The table next to us asked for steak knifes as they were having the same trouble. The rest of the party enjoyed the burgers.

The bed and pillows are fantastic. Excellent nights sleep.

Was a bit noisy down stairs but that was to be expected. View from room not good. Entrance could do with a bit of a tidy/clean. Bed a bit hard. Minor points

The staff were so helpful, pub had a lovely feel and energy, sat around the fire. The chalets are to a high standard and very cosy with heating.

There was only one item on the dinner menu for people on a plant-based diet. The UK Committee on Climate Change called for a 35% to 50% reduction in meat consumption by 2050 to achieve our climate change targets. People need help to do this by having interesting non-meat items on menus.

The pub didn't look promising from the outside but our room had been recently refurbished. The dining area was pleasant, too. We appreciated having "real" coffee in our room and a (small!) supply of oat milk. There was somewhere safe for us to keep our bikes.

Couldnt work out the heating and it was like a sauna when we got back to room. Breakfast option limited to cornflakes and full English.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at The Holford Arms. The chalet was beautifully presented. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. The shower was easy to use. In general it was a lovely weekend away.

Water pressure was bad so couldn't have a shower at busy times! Needs somewhere to hang clothes. We ticked a box to have daily housekeeping but it only happened once in 5 night stay.

Going home!

Really warm welcome by staff, which continued throughout our stay. The Chalet we stayed in is warm and inviting, with comfortable bed and seating area, private car parking space and easily accessible to the pub via a pathway. (take a torch for night time) Cental location to many attractions, catered for our needs perfectly, including vegetarian and vegan options for all meals. Delicious homemade pizza's freshly prepared and cooked in a woodfired oven are a real bonus. Local real ale, with most everything is sourced on the menu locally. Would highly recommend.

Only downside in my view was the feather filled duvet which was quite heavy, making us very warm.

The very warm welcome, the log fire, the friendly staff, the fab food and drink were all terrific. Also nice to be out of town a bit too. We would definitely return in the Summer and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Holford Arms.

Only criticism is that the shower door in our room isn’t logically placed, we felt it too close to the toilet.

It matched up to the online descriptions and reviews. The bar and restaurant were well thought out and it has two log fires. There is a comfy sofa area too which was perfect after our meal. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and the bathroom finish was high quality.

Meals were also great but breakfast could have been better, should have more options and portion size should be more. Also, room becomes bit too hot during the night, so good idea to keep the heater level low.

Room was very clean, but I really liked the host of the property and the pub area to hang during the night.
