The kitchen tap turned into a fountain when I turned it on but it seemed to sort itself out before it caused any issues.

It was strange having no contact with a host, I guess it's an agency that run it. And the bedroom is very small, you have to crab walk past the end of the bed. The boiler is right next to the bed too which is unfortunate.

The location was excellent, close to town. It was clean and lovely and warm. The Bothams biscuits were a lovely touch.

Perhaps having the options of an earlier check in time and later checkout time. Maybe having a washer dryer, but that would be nit picking.

My son and I had a great four night stay. It was central enough, five minutes from bus and rail stations without being noisy. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed for a stay. On top of that it is dog friendly.

not being able to park nearby was a bit difficult for loading/unloading the car and Pannett Park opposite doesn’t allow dogs and we struggled to find grassy areas nearby.

great location close to town centre. it was beautifully clean and well equipped with all sorts of little extras like dvds/books/hand soap/kitchen roll etc which all helped it feel like home. good selection of tv channels available.

There was a problem when we arrived. There was a pool of water in the entrance hall extending into the bathroom. We contacted the help number immediatelty (a York/Whitby number) but had to wait for a call back. This came from an 0345 number (Cottages.com). Spoke to a male operative, explained the situation, and he promised someone would get back to us. About fifteen minutes later we got another call, from a female operative who told us that they (cottages.com) could not get anyone out that evening, but they would get someone to look at the problem in the morning, in the meantime if the problem was too bad for us to stay in the apartment WE should find somewhere else to stay. Basically she washed her hands of the problem, saying as we had booked through Booking.com they (cottages.com) would do nothing to help she was rude, agressive and belligerent I contacted booking.com, and they passed on my message to the apartment owners. We threw towels onto the paddling pool and hoped for the best. Needless to say, we were there four nights. no-one ever came out to assess the problem and we never received a reply from the owners. No I would not stay ther again, no I would not recommend it, and no I would neot EVER book a property managed by Cottages.com. Also, the apartment, reeked of stale dog urine.

Found a few cups, glasses and dog bowls not cleaned properly (and pans on the shelf but wasn't using those) Floor area round the kitchen was very sticky Blankets in the mirrored cupboard all screw up and just shoved in and smelt like wet dog The shower wasn't great - not very warm at all Also never stayed at an apartment were you have to strip you own bedding (been to approx 20 in last 5 years), thought that's what you pay a cleaning fee for!!

We come to Whitby 5/6 times a year - we love it. Location was great and we could take our dogs

I have written a review already but I forgot to mention -that the TV never worked the free view box couldn't recieve any signal so that was a dissapointment.
