Expensive drink prices. Pillows were not the best.

The setting was very good. Lovely interior with friendly staff.

Difficulty with heating on first night but was sorted very quickly. Outside could have done with a little tidy-up (dead plants in flower pots)

Meet by lovely staff on check-in. Good size bedroom. Good selection of food on the menu.

Lovely family run hotel. Booked a mid week break for some child free time and thrilled to be in the honeymoon suite.

Room was cold. Other family members had heaters in their rooms but ours didn't- I don't know why the heating wasn't working - radiator was set at high. Paid extra to Booking.com to upgrade room with a view but others had similar views at a lesser cost.

Lovely accomodation. Room was clean but compact - balcony with beautiful view. Bed was comfy- shower a bit slippy! Breakfast was lovely- plenty of choice. Staff were all very welcoming and pleasant.

The friendly staff are amazing and nothing too much trouble. We take our dog and they all fuss him and make us feel very welcome. Food is good, place is clean and a nice little place to stay.

Food was good value for money but would have been happier to have paid a bit more for slightly better quality.

Lovely location with stunning views on the edge of a quiet, historic village. Fascinating walks around features of historic interest. Staff were lovely; polite, friendly, accommodating, and available.

Only thing that disappointed was the main evening meal my husband had. The roast potatoes were well a truly overdone and should not have been sent out from kitchen.

Lack of buffet for first course at breakfast eg no fruit other than pre- ordered fruit salad, no yogurt, having to choose breakfast the evening before. Tea and coffee made to,order would also be better than from tea and coffee already made up.

The room was clean, comfortable with sea view, balcony and big shower. Lovely village.

Tables in the bar could do with updating and there was no lock on the bathroom door.

Lovely setting in a pretty village. Room was comfortable with a balcony and views over Firth of Forth. The views of the bridges were great especially at night when lit up.
