Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe room - a standard double - was most compact - barely room to get around the bed and very limited storage. The hotel phone in the room did not function. There was no guest services information provided either in room or via the TV. As the hotel appeared to have opened recently there may be issues being addressed.
Modern, new, sound-proofed and airconditioned The J is great for a short stay. The staff were most helpful - thank you Goprika and Gulfraz - and 24 hour reception. The room and public space were clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows. The bathroom was a delight - big walk-in shower with rainfall head and hand-held too, big mirror and excellent lighting. The location is a plus - just off Edgeware Road near both Edgeware Road tube stations, a bus stop at the door, Marylebone "village" a stroll away and M&S and Waitrose a very easy walk.

United KingdomThe first night our room was only a little larger than the double bed! It was difficult to walk around it and suitcases could only be opened by placing them on the bed. After complaining, we were moved to a larger room the next day. This room was not big but quite adequate and an improvement.
Smart modern hotel; Very clean and tidy; Staff very attentive and pleasant; Breakfasts very good with large choice.

AustraliaWe had issues with our room, in the first the flush did not work which could be an issue for many reasons. The second the aircon wasn’t working and the windows could only be opened a couple of inches. But the final room we were given, had no issues. The hassle was having to deal and raise these concerns as well as shift our luggage from room to room. I feel these issues should have been found before we were moved to these rooms. However, upon raising these concerns with the hotel staff. They were proactive the issues were dealt in a speedy manner.
Good Location next to the Metro, plenty of dining options in the neighbourhood. The hotel was compact and neat. Staff were also very helpful.

AustraliaThe phone kept lighting up during the night and waking me up.
Love the location, just a short walk from Edgware Road Tube Station. The remote curtains were fantastic along with the modern light switches and operation of the shower. We also had a nice view from the top floor. The bed was really comfortable and the room was so quiet, we did not hear other guests or transport noise at all.

BelgiumRooms are a tad small and not thoroughly cleaned (I could find long hair in the bathroom!). This can happen, but might be a good idea to take a look into this.
Hotel is in a very good location, close to Paddington and a short metro ride from King's Cross/St Pancras. The metro stop (Edgware Road) is also very close. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Everything feels new.

The hotel is perfectly located near the bus stop and Edgware underground station. The staff were super helpful whenever we requested something and they will do it with a genuine smile on their faces especially Rizwan, Gopika and Pamela who made us feel like home. DEFINITELY WE ARE COMING BACK TO THIS BEAUTIFUL HOTEL.

GermanyThe breakfast area was quite small and there were not so many sitting options. Might be you can expend it little bit.
The location of the hotel was excellent. There were 2 underground stations quite near and the central station "Paddington" is around 1 Km away and it is also accessible by walk, by Bus etc. The room was little bit small but it was quite clean and has everything that you need. There were not so many options in the Breakfast but it was quite refreshing and healthy.

Wonderful hotel and highly respectful staff with great hospitality. Big thanks to Ms Elena for her outstanding hospitality throughout our stay, also thanks to Mr Khan and Mr Dave for their unlimited support. The location is very good in central London. Room is supplied with all needed facilities and very well air conditioning system with clean toilet and strong water pressure, despite a bit small sized but very comfortable. Varied nearby restaurants and just 10 min walk from Bond & Oxford st & Hyde Park.
