Quite expensive for food and drinks

The bed was a little but saggy and sloped from toe to head due to the historic nature of the building. Just needs some wedges to even it out.

The historical aspect and relationship to Daphne De Maurier was the highlight. The quotes and signs posted around the building. The old world charm of the dining room was excellent. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was also good, good choices and good quality.

Nothing really. It was unusual to see a large collection of dirty glasses and used cups from other rooms on the ledge directly outside our door after checking-in. They were still there in the morning after we had breakfast the next day.

We returned to the fabulous Jamaica Inn as we enjoyed it so much last year. We love the location, the historic building, the yummy food, the excellent service, the great facilities and the whole unique atmosphere. We paid extra later to have a balcony room. It was nice to see the stars on the only non-rainy day we were there! The room was very cosy with form bed and TV with Sky channels. The bathroom was immaculate with a decent bath, nice toiletries and a cute rubber duck! Thank you for another memorable stay. Hope to see you next year :) !

Friendly staff, nice rooms, lots of history and ghostly going ons. Food and drink very good and good portions. Has its own museum, gift shop and shop. Definitely will stay again next time we go to Cornwall.

Nothing really apart from one evening meal could have been a bit better as the vegetables were close to being raw but others may like it that way. The pie that accompanied them was good though

Evocative experience and old world charm linked to the historical experience from the Daphne du Maurier book. Breakfast was more than most could handle and well cooked. Whatever window you looked out of gave you a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. The Inn is close to a lake that was surprisingly huge and scenic and a number of other great places for walking such as the beautiful Golitha Falls walk. Also reasonably easy access to the north and south coasts of the County.

By booking out of season, we weren't able to visit the museum, gift shop or farm shop, as it was only open for a few hours after 10am and we were out exploring Cornwall by then and returned after they had closed.

The Inn is in the perfect setting on Bodmin Moor and very easy to find. The building is so picturesque. The staff were very welcoming and the food was incredible. There is parking, as well as a museum, gift shop and a farm shop. We will definitely visit again.

Didn’t like coming back to the room at the end of the day with all the lights left of -I know it’s welcoming -although one small bedside light would do -such a waste of electricity-was told it was a company protocol-should be changed in light of global warming

Warm and friendly staff who were super helpful-we broke down on the way - ended up staying 2nights instead of one! Lovely atmosphere and great bedroom.

Couldn't open the bathroom window as it was locked so the bathroom got condensed and smelly very quickly!

Lovely room- complimentary upgrade to the old building, which was nice. Lots of nice touches in the room, breakfast was delicious and the landscape is beautiful.

Inn interior looks a little tired and staff need to not gossip about other members of staff in front of customers.

Room overlooking the moor was fabulous - clean and comfortable and a good size - and breakfast was lovely.

We have a perfect stay at The Jamaica Inn and loved our room which was The daphne De maurier Suite. It was enormous and the decor was really good. It had lots of things on the walls about Daphne de Mauriers life and her writing. The bed was so big and comfortable and we loved how you could close the curtains with a press of a button. We had supper in the Inn which was really good with a very large piece of haddock on the fish and chips. Breakfast was also really good with lots of choice. We would definately love to come back again as it was not trippery as lots of people said it would be
