Room was perhaps a little warm for my liking.

Warm friendly welcome. Comfy room. Excellent food served by very attentive friendly staff. Arrived later than expected due to travel problems but this wasn’t an issue for the staff. Great breakfast.

The bathroom was a tad small and it took a little while to get hot water into the basin but that's due again to the layout of the 14th century building so it was understandable

The lovely big bedroom which was full of character in fitting with the age of the building. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast

The only tiny thing is that the coffee at breakfast was a bit feeble!

Lovely room with period features, very nicely looked after. Good shower, comfortable bed. Right in the middle of Ross on Wye. Staff all very helpful and friendly (it felt family-run, or at least locally-run) and breakfast was great (we also ate in the hotel restaurant both nights and the food was excellent)

Stairs up to second floor were a bit strange as difficult to get up but minor problem

Check in was great. the room was not massive but was clean and well equipped. Car parking was a bit hit and miss but managed to get parked okay. Breakfast was great and so were the staff

There was nothing we can fault. Whilst it can be a bit noisy if above the library and bar as we were, both nights the noise stopped soon after last orders at the bar so wasn't a problem. If you go to bed early, you might want to ask for a room away from that area.

This has to be the most dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. We and our 2 dogs were warmly greeted, staff very friendly, kind and very attentive even to the point of putting the room heating on early as our room was cold. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and the staff coped well with a full hotel and all the locals who use the establishment. We are breakfast each morning which was good quality, hot and delicious and an evening meal which was equally good. Bar prices are good and not overpriced as some hotels can be. Guests with dogs eat in the library and the tables are reserved. We met some lovely fellow travellers with dogs who were also impressed with the hotel facilities and locals who were friendly and engaging.
