Room was small for over £500 a night

The spa was good. However the staff need Co ordination and for a luxury 5 star which was rumoured 7 star , restaurant staff service is abysmal. Also the security was rude, on top my booking wasn’t received hence cancelling and rebooking, the manager paoulo helped and was frustrated as went esp for spa which couldn’t use

There was a weird smell in the corridor in which our room was located, staff was not super helpful in booking extra activities like horse riding, tennis court had a broken net. The location was amazing but property management was not what you expect from a 5 star hotel

a couple tiny nitpicks: - we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and we couldn't have dinner there, though in the end the restaurant provided a table for us just 45 mins before the official dinner starts. The interesting bit is that we saw that there was a bunch of tables for 4 available even at 7pm and 8pm, so it clearly wan't fully booked, prob we were told this, so that "loud" kids don't spoil dinner for other guests - having 4 receptionists welcoming one guest all asking questions and talking to you felt like too much attention.

the food at the restaurant was definitely the biggest let down of our stay. also massively overpriced for what it was. i think they need a new chef.

I think the interior design is a big miss. fake historical portraits and a very branded hotel decor did it a disservice.The room service menu is dreadful. like most hotels they offer over complicated over garnished pretentious food.

It can't be changed, but our ceilings in our room particularly near the bed was low.

Although our suite was comfortable I did think it'd be a little bigger. Maybe it's because the ceilings to our room was low and I'm 5' 8". Would be nice to see what the other suites are like in comparison.

We would have preferred a freshly cooked full english breakfast rather than the buffet style one on offer. It wasn't a deal breaker though, but that is always preferable. Otherwise lunch was excellent and the dinner superb...staff always attentive.

Location was perfect and the Hotel fabulous. Staff were excellent , restaurant manager exemplary. Grounds to the hotel were immaculate and made a late afternoon stroll enjoyable. Overall pretty impressed.

The short walk between buildings - would be better to have some umbrellas to hand or a member of staff to assist if the weather is rubbish.

Breakfast and food in general was so delicious! Lovely quiet setting to relax and unwind! Gym facilities are the best I've ever seen!
