Very noisy untill 12.30 at night due to live music and fights and people talking loudly

We arrived at 8:40pm because we were delayed due to the M1 being closed by an accident, and when we checked in the kitchen had stopped serving. We were really hungry but nothing else was open nearby. However we found that the sports bar right next door had just stopped serving as well, but they very kindly switched their equipment back on and made us all a meal. So they got our food and drinks orders until closing time.

Nothing to complain about, for £60 a night for a double room, ensuite including breakfast, it's a no brainer.

With temps in 20's a thick duvet wasn't necessary, no immediate alternative. Popular pub venue, but quiet after 10.30p.m.

Simple check-in and out. Friendly staff. Reasonably broad menu, more pub rather than gastro. Room clean and as advertised.

The bathroom smelled badly with chemicals. The bed mattress was shaking every time one of us moved so we both didn't sleep well.

Maybe the fact that the kitchen was closing early (1800ish in the evening is early to me). I'm just wondering what would have happened if I had turned up after the kitchen had closed. May have had to go elsewhere?

Excellent customer service. I was on work and needed a place to crash for the night and save 4 hrs of driving. The Lawns Hotel came up as a nice place to stay and hence I booked it. It was reasonable close and was easy to get to. The staff were extremely friendly and provided great service. When asked for dinner, the agreed even though the kitchen was due to close very shortly. They asked the chef to wait and took my order for dinner. I thought that the meal was a tad expensive until I saw it. The food tasted great and the portion was fairly large. Having had the meal, I felt the price was justified for it tasted great. Everything was cooked just as I had requested. For a Sunday evening, the place was quite busy and I think that there was a party going on at the back. However, after having eaten, I just went to the room and crashed out. Had a great night's rest and no noise interruptions from the party. Filling up on the meal and being exhausted also probably helped. I did not have time for the breakfast in the morning and had to rush. The staff were very helpful again, expediting my paperwork so that I could away on time.

I was happy that there was a security gate on the car park, and when I enquired what time it would be opened in the morning as we had to leave early, I was a bit surprised and disappointed to be told it wouldn't be shut that night.

Nice big car park, security guard was very helpful, as the pub was busy being a bank holiday weekend. He made sure I registered my vehicle registration and organised a good place for me to park our large vehicle.

Needed a shaving point

The hotel was perfect location for what we wanted. Staff were really polite and shown us to our room. Food was lovely and plenty of it. We had room 1 which was a deluxe room and had lots of space, our friends had a normal double and struggled for space so definitely worth paying a bit more and you're away from the bar area

our room was very small and not really enough room for us to put our things. only one plug socket at low level. the other was an extension on top of a shelf which wasn’t ideal and has to stand on a stool to reach. noise from bar in the evening but we still managed to sleep easily. walls were pretty thin and could hear next door coughing like he was in the room with us.

great location. Fabulous staff. Cooked breakfast worth the extra. Food was all excellent - we had dinner in the first evening. lovely bar and restaurant. free parking good price

Couldn’t park in car park as was used by people going to the pub in the evening, a little noise from the pub at night time as room is above the pub, bathroom needs few shelves or unit to put your toiletries in there was nothing to put anything on

Staff where friendly and helpful, Close to where my location was for Donnington park, bar was nice, restaurant was good, room was small but cosy and had tea making facilities, shower was nice and hot and powerful, bed was comfortable, room was nice and clean, good value for money

Nothing, we were very happy with what we had.

The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help us out. They took extra precautions to keep our car safe as they were having trouble with travellers at the time which was very reassuring. The room was exactly what you’d expect from a hotel attached to a pub, compact, clean and cosy which was lovely - a nice change to bigger chain hotels!
