the shower was terrible. having to go outside to get to the dinning room . it was raining that day !!!

all the food was lovely the room was good ,clean and the décor lovely the grounds looked fab, shame it was raining the day we were there .

No light outside dark entry to room. couldn’t check in as no one had computer password. Shower was leaking. Staff friendly but all too young and inexperienced.

The room was a bit tired, both bedside lamps have broken shades, although they did work. The bathroom was not totally clean on arrival, the toilet had a dirty mark in. The floor had a broken bracelet on the floor, at first I thought it was glass, but they were beads, many of them. The bedroom had a strong smell of smoke from outside the door. There was a metal box for used cigarettes on the wall it permiated into the room.. Only noticeable on night 2. The fan in the bathroom was broken, it was on constantly, I did bring this to the attention of the girl on reception. WIFI was very poor, it dropped out all the time.

The welcome was good. The waitress at breakfast was very friendly, very personable. Breakfast was great, cold buffet then cooked breakfast, including gluten free toast.. The bed was comfortable, the bedding nice, 2 pillow cases were unironed, looked a bit poor.towels were good. The shower was powerful. A nice atmosphere was created by the people who work there, they appear to be a good strong team.

Behind the sofa was dirty, we wanted to move it, but decided to leave it in situ as it was so dirty.

A few things are getting “tired” eg mirror in bathroom. Some of the decor /music not to my taste but that’s very minor

In a lovely quiet location. Good sized room. Excellent shower. Fabulous breakfast friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Evening meal first class.

Its a little crowded at breakfast where you have to wait for your toast, but this a very small thing.

Our superior rom was spacious, very clean and had a mini fridge. We had an ironing board and iron and storage for our clothes. Our breakfast was served very fresh and hot although more choice for the continental breakfast would add to the experience ie croissants

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. We paid for a standard double and got a big room with a sofa and a huge double bed. The evening meal was really nice and so was the breakfast which had a large selection and was very tasty. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. Excellent value for money.

Not being situated where the wedding party gathered after the event had finished to carry on.

It would have been better had the wedding party not carried on after it had finished outside our bedroom window.

Good breakfast although my wife and I are not full english breakfasts there was enough available. Evening meal my chicken curry very good my wife's vegan meal she could not eat. The following evening my sausage and mash excellent my wife had portion of chunky chips and mushrooms.

Staff are terrific, food is excellent, choices are brilliant, dinning room and bar very comfortable, massive safe car park, room was a good size, fantastic shower. the grounds are very pretty, with the sightings of the occasional squirrel ,.all in all a very enjoyable stay in a top class hotel, highly recommend this one.

Breakfast was buffet, which tends to get cold unless you follow the trays from the kitchen.

We attended for a wedding and staff were very accommodating letting us into the rooms earlier than expected. Rooms decent sizes, good selection at the bar.
