The weather…..too much rain!

Lovely Property and grounds, very cosy and comfortable. there were breakfast cereals and other bits, fresh coffee, instant coffee, tea and biscuits. Milk in the fridge. Our dog loved the grounds as did we, a beautiful garden area. Bruce our host was charming, friendly and helpful. Would definitely return if we were in the area.

The central heating and hot water provisions could do with a little improvement. Once you figure out the heating programmer, then it is fine.

The property is set on a beautiful part of Suffolk and it is perfect for a weekend break for a small family. Lovely setting, lovely lodge and friendly owner. Waking up to that country view, was just perfect for us. :)

Cosy, clean and comfortable with an incredible use of the main garden area! Bruce was so friendly and helpful but respected our privacy during our stay. We took our 6 month old puppy and he loved it. Not far from long Melford which has lovely pubs and restaurants but we had an Indian delivery and it was brilliant. Would definitely return in the future.

This is a excellent retreat for a peaceful stay the host Bruce is very genial and cannot do enough to please and if you are thinking of bringing your dog he will love the out door space a brilliant 2 day stay for us. 5 star highly recommended

There was only a continental breakfast and this was not stated in the booking it just said breakfast included and I think this should have been explained a bit more. Nevertheless this did not spoil our break.

It would of been lovely if the bed was a king size as to small for us so I slept downstairs the second night as needed some space

Location was great, property was beautiful and so were the grounds, so peaceful and relaxing and the hosts were lovely and friendly, had a lovely stay and definitely recommend to friends, we had our little dog with us and he loved it

Me and my wife have thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the lodge. First of all the scenery is second to none, the garden is absolutely beautiful They have thought of everything to make your stay special! The cherry on the top is its dog friendly.

Fantastic host, so welcoming and helpful, was like visiting family! Gorgeous property and grounds which our girls and small dogs enjoyed,secure safe parking under carport for the lodge. Comfy beds,clean and very cosy and decorated nicely. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks Bruce and Lauren🙏😊

We’ve already given feedback to the owner about putting a fan in the bedroom but we did stay during an exceptionally hot weekend.

The cottage is in a beautiful spot, well away from the road and looking out onto large grounds that are planted to look like a parkland. The grounds are for the use of guests, which was great for our dog and lovely for us to be able to sit by the pond. The cottage is bigger than I was expecting for one bedroom and comfortable. We will definitely return.

Beautiful setting, extensive grounds that you can enjoy. It is quiet and relaxing from the moment you arrive. The property is comfortable and well furnished with nicely coordinated colours. Everything is done to a high standard. The owners were friendly and helpful. Situated well to visit plenty of lovely places in the area.

The only thing I'd say is we didn't get any check in instructions, but when I rang on the day of arrival they were very prompt at answering and advising how to get in the cottage. Not really a negative but something to consider.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. Owners were very accommodating and made up the bed downstairs in case our little one wanted to be down there. As she was too young, she did sleep upstairs next to us, so they offered to put the bed back away. As we were only staying a couple of nights and at a wedding for the majority of our time, we declined for them to do this. The accommodation had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy. The grounds were also beautiful that our cottage overlooked, even saw a deer on the first evening. Would highly recommend this place to stay.

The bed was too hard for me, but I'm sure it would be fine for others.

Lovely peaceful location. Nicely furnished. Thoughtful touches in the kitchen like breakfast rolls and milk in the fridge.
