Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI liked it very much. There’s a guest area downstairs that is well thought out for evenings. A welcome addition to this would be a microwave to heat a ready meal, I was so tired after walking I didn’t have the energy to drive out to eat, so snacked on crisps and biscuits for my dinner.
Very comfortable, great hosts, perfect location for walking the beacons from the door. Plentiful breakfast options. Hosts cater for the walker, even boot dryers.

United KingdomEverything was perfect.
Steve & Brownyn are perfect hosts, the property is lovely, breakfast amazing, and easy parking. The drying room is a real bonus for anyone doing big hikes or runs! The location is perfect, the property has great views & easy access to Fan y Big, Cribyn, and Pen y Fan. There is a lovely route up to the peak of Fan Y Big which goes up through some fields and a river / small forest up onto the ridge, about 4.5 miles up to the peak then another 2 miles to Pen y Fan over (or you can go around) Cribyn. There is a pub about a 20 minute walk away (the Three Horseshoes Inn), a bit of walking on a road so take a torch if it'll be dark. Really can't recommend this highly enough - if you want to visit Pen y Fan then I can't think of any better place to stay!

United KingdomLeaving!
This was a bit of a last-minute booking for us, and we did not expect to find this absolute gem of a B&B on the outskirts of Brecon, but within easy reach of all local amenities. Both Steve and Bron were wonderful hosts, providing pre-travel advice and helpful suggestions once we had arrived. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and of a very high specification. The breakfast was excellent - both in terms of quality and quantity. All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days - thank you so much, Streve and Bron. Bravo!

United KingdomThe only criticism we have is that the pillows were a bit lumpy and flat.
We loved the location, it was perfect - an 8 minute drive into Brecon town and beautiful views from our room. Our room was really cosy and we loved the attention to detail, we had everything we needed! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They cooked us a beautiful breakfast every morning, recommend local places to visit and photocopied hiking maps for us. There was a drying room for wet clothes which was very helpful! The hosts were easy to communicate with and we felt very comfortable to knock on the door for any questions or anything we needed!

The room is perfect in size and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is great too. Steve and Bronwyn are great and always available to give you information about walks in the area.

Steve and Bronwyn are natural hosts and I had a very nice stay. The B & B was modern and very clean, with an excellent lounge to relax in. The breakfast was one of the better ones I've had, in-fact I cant think of better. Everything was well thought out and the hosts were very helpful in suggestions and advice about the area.. The location is pretty central and convenient with a fine view of the black mountains
